We’re considering names for a number 4, sibling to [name]Timothy[/name] [name]John[/name], [name]Peter[/name] [name]Benjamin[/name] and [name]Rose[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]. If our twins had been 2 boys they would have been [name]Peter[/name] and [name]Richard[/name] (our Dad’s names). We don’t want Grandpa [name]Dick[/name] to be left out! So, general impressions of the name [name]Richard[/name] Clendon please? Any middle name ideas for it?

I think it’s a strong name and goes well with your other names. Personally, I like it, and considered it as a middle name. It’s one of those names that I only like in its full form; I don’t like any of the nns for it. I’ve also heard it dismissed as a boomer name, but I tend to think of it as an old name (like king [name]Richard[/name]).

[name]Richard[/name] [name]George[/name]
[name]Richard[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]
[name]Richard[/name] [name]James[/name]
[name]Richard[/name] [name]Edmund[/name]
[name]Richard[/name] [name]Louis[/name]
[name]Richard[/name] [name]Paul[/name]
[name]Richard[/name] [name]Charles[/name]
[name]Richard[/name] [name]Alfred[/name]
[name]Richard[/name] [name]Bertram[/name]
[name]Richard[/name] [name]Gordon[/name]

I think [name]Dick[/name] says it all. [name]Richard[/name] in theory is very nice, but I wouldn’t want my child teased and called [name]Dick[/name].

I like [name]Richard[/name] a lot and I think he can either go by [name]Richard[/name] or [name]Richie[/name] which is a great nn, so don’t lose the handsome name of [name]Richard[/name] because of an old fashioned nickname. This is the new naming world we don’t have to stick with old stereotypes! He could go by [name]Leo[/name] even after [name]King[/name] [name]Richard[/name] the Lionheart let’s stretch the boundaries a little.

Nice to see [name]Richard[/name] get a little love! I think it’s a grand, noble old name that is unjustly ignored. It goes beautifully with your other kids’ names, too.

I love [name]Richard[/name]! It’s a family name for me, so I may use it someday. [name]Richie[/name] is a cute nickname too. I don’t think your son would be teased for the name [name]Richard[/name] unless you nicknamed him [name]Dick[/name]. It should be fine; I’ve never heard anyone be made fun of for the name [name]Richard[/name] / [name]Richie[/name].

[name]Richard[/name] is a fine name!
