What are your thoughts on [name]Rio[/name]?
Not my style. Could be cute as a nickname, but I find it strange as a given name, especially for a girl. If it was a given name, I would think boy.
I knew a female [name]Rio[/name] in high school. I actually like it a lot. It’s a little bit [name]Duran[/name] [name]Duran[/name], but I’m not really bothered by that.
I’m not a fan. I think of it as totally masculine. I agree with the PP who said it might could work as a nickname for something, but seems strange as a stand alone name.
[name]Love[/name] [name]Rio[/name] and it is feminine to me though could be masculine too. It is sweet and spunky and love how it looks written down too

I prefer [name]Ria[/name] for a girl. [name]Rio[/name] is cute as a nickname for [name]Rosario[/name] though.
The o ending makes it masculine to me. [name]Ria[/name] could be cute, though.

I still think of it as a masculine name, but in a strange way, I could see it on a girl, mostly due to the [name]Duran[/name] [name]Duran[/name] song. If I’m not mistaken, [name]Sean[/name] [name]Young[/name] named one of her children [name]Rio[/name], but I can’t remember what the gender was. [name]Both[/name] her kids have unisex names, so it’s hard to say.
Cute as a nickname, only nn.
