Im very much into word names, unusual names, place names etc and i keep coming back to [name_u]River[/name_u] but now i cant decide if [name_u]River[/name_u] or [name_m]Rivers[/name_m] sounds better?
What middle would u pick for either? Or if you think it should be a middle name only, what first name would you pick?
Thanks
I MUCH prefer [name_u]River[/name_u], I think the plural version is unnecessary. I like it best as a first name. If it’s a middle name, it runs the risk of the first name sounding like the name of an actual river, i.e. “[name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_u]River[/name_u]” sounds more like the name of a river than the name of a person. But [name_u]River[/name_u] [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] is obviously a person name. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] that makes sense!
I think it can be a first name. I would use a more traditional middle name, like [name_u]River[/name_u] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m], [name_u]River[/name_u] [name_m]Henry[/name_m], [name_u]River[/name_u] [name_m]Daniel[/name_m], etc.
I’ve really fallen for [name_m]Rivers[/name_m] lately. I love the -s at the end, it feels more full and rushing, and more… potential? You’re not just limited to one river ;). I think it would work fine as a first or a middle name. I’d pair it with something more obviously namey, and maybe quite masculine. Like [name_m]Rivers[/name_m] [name_m]Evander[/name_m], [name_m]Solomon[/name_m] [name_m]Rivers[/name_m], [name_m]Rivers[/name_m] [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] or [name_m]Malachy[/name_m] [name_m]Rivers[/name_m].
I prefer [name_m]Rivers[/name_m]. I’d never heard of it as a fn until [name_m]Rivers[/name_m] Cuomo. The plural form feels more complete & masculine because it’s a surname.
As for a mn, maybe [name_u]Cameron[/name_u], [name_m]Vaughn[/name_m], [name_m]Isaac[/name_m], [name_m]Drake[/name_m], [name_u]Brennan[/name_u]
