Roberts Baby #3

Hey again! We are on to baby #3! We are not sure the sex yet so we are looking for both girl names and boy names. We want it to flow with older brother names. [name_m]Hudson[/name_m] is 5 years old and [name_m]Crew[/name_m] is 2 years old. So [name_m]Hudson[/name_m], [name_m]Crew[/name_m], and_______.

Here are some names we might like: [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], [name_f]Gracelyn[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]. We are not sure if they fit the flow. We would possibly like to incorporate family name “Rose” in the first or middle spot. Our last name is [name_m]Roberts[/name_m].

Congratulations!!

[name_m]Hudson[/name_m] and [name_m]Crew[/name_m] are a lovely sibset!

I love [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], [name_f]Gracelyn[/name_f], and [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f], as they feel very romantic and elegant! However, I don’t think (at least to me) that they fit with [name_m]Hudson[/name_m] and [name_m]Crew[/name_m].

Some suggestions:

[name_m]Marlow[/name_m]
Sailor/Saylor
[name_f]Madison[/name_f]
[name_f]Bailey[/name_f]
[name_f]Harley[/name_f]
[name_f]Olive[/name_f]
[name_f]Addison[/name_f]
[name_f]Paisley[/name_f]
[name_f]Harlow[/name_f]
[name_m]Maddox[/name_m]
[name_f]Presley[/name_f]
[name_m]Ellis[/name_m]
[name_f]Hallie[/name_f]

I think [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_m]Roberts[/name_m] actually sounds fantastic. I think you should just go for it with the first name, if it’s a girl!

But here are ideas if it’s a boy:

[name_m]Bentley[/name_m]
[name_m]Drake[/name_m]
[name_m]Duke[/name_m]
[name_m]Jack[/name_m]
[name_m]Ledger[/name_m]
[name_m]Max[/name_m]
[name_m]Miles[/name_m]
[name_m]Tucker[/name_m]

Congratulations on baby 3! I agree with @CattheBat13579 that instinctively I wouldn’t pair up [name_m]Hudson[/name_m] & [name_m]Crew[/name_m] with [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] or [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] - they feel like different styles to me, but I don’t know that that needs to stop you from using them! I like the idea of [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] with [name_m]Hudson[/name_m] & [name_m]Crew[/name_m] a lot (and there are some more androgynous nns for [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] like [name_m]Jet[/name_m], [name_m]Jules[/name_m], even [name_f]Jetta[/name_f], that I think could work - I like [name_m]Hudson[/name_m], [name_m]Crew[/name_m], and [name_m]Jet[/name_m] together a lot). And also [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] to honor your family member.

Here’s a few other ideas:

[name_f]Everly[/name_f] (or any other [name_f]Eve[/name_f] name, I think just [name_f]Eve[/name_f], [name_f]Eva[/name_f], [name_f]Evelyn[/name_f], [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f], [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] - these are all nice)
[name_f]Georgia[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]
[name_f]Sloane[/name_f]
[name_f]Romy[/name_f]
[name_f]Hadley[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_f]June[/name_f]
Tess/Tessa
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f]

Good luck!

I really like the alliteration of [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] with your last name!

Other suggestions:

[name_f]Ivy[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f]
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]
[name_f]Ruby[/name_f]
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Lila[/name_f]
[name_f]Daisy[/name_f]

From your list I feel [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] fits well stylewise. But tbh I dont think its super important that they match stylistically speaking. Especially between brothers and sisters.

From your list [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] (or just Rose) would be my top choice.

Id also suggest…

[name_f]Daphne[/name_f]
[name_f]Lily[/name_f]
[name_f]Georgia[/name_f]
[name_f]Gemma[/name_f] / [name_f]Jemma[/name_f]
[name_f]Sage[/name_f]
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Lillian[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] (but maybe too floral with rose?)
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]
[name_f]Willa[/name_f]

Congratulations!

[name_m]Loving[/name_m] the girls names [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] & [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] I would automatically pair with Huds0n + Cr3w however I think they are just beautiful. [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] feels very stylistically different she’s very classic, feminine and full of grace with summery undertones. [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] feels more in keeping with Huds0n + Cr3w she feels more stylish providing a southern flair to the sibling set which I like. [name_f]Gracelyn[/name_f] feels more stylistically in keeping with Huds0n + Cr3w but I do prefer Grace/Gracie.

You’ve had lots of lovely suggestions so count any repeats as me being in agreement with the berries

Hello!

Edit: Just realized I left my boy suggestions in the Girls’ category thread, sorry!

My suggestions would be:

Boys:

Klein or Kline (surname meaning small/little/younger. A nod to him being the younger brother.)

Jude (short, handsome and classic. Shares sounds with both other boys without being too matchy.)

Duffy. Really like this one with your other boys & your surname. Sounds to me like adventure out at sea.

If a nautical theme interests you (not sure if you were inspired by a water theme but your boys’ names together make me think of the Hudson Bay and ship/boat Crew);

Keil/Kiel/Keel (interesting representation of strength/support since this is the name of the structure that gives a boat stability, according to one NB article.)

Riggs (totally handsome to me, very fresh choice. Another picture of strength and stability.) From NB: “Riggs calls to mind the rigging on a ship — all the ropes and lines that support the mast and control the sails.”

Rigsby nn “Riggs” (apparently this is probably associated with someone who lived by a ridge. Reminds me of beautiful tall cliffs overlooking the ocean. Could be viewed as symbolic of prudence/discernment/someone who is able to discern perils from afar off.)

Navy

Lee (could be symbolic of being protected/sheltered.) From NB: “The leeward side of a boat is the side away from the wind.”

Finn. Very handsome next to your other two.

Sailor.

Fisher.

Albie. (A nod to the albatross, one of the most amazing and majestic of seabirds. I have read that the great albatrosses have the largest wingspans of all birds!)

Angler (named for the fish or the fisherman.)

Ford (can symbolize a time/place of rest or calm or peace since it is an area where the water allows one to travel through to the opposite bank.)

Beaufort “Beau” (sea named in honor of British Royal navy admiral Francis Beaufort”

Bristol (the Bristol Channel)

Byrd (Byrd Lake, Tennessee)

Delta (river area)

Dillon (Colorado reservoir. Also meaning of “loyal.”)

Echo (Echo Lake, New Hampshire)

Fraser (apparently the longest river flowing entirely within BC)

Galveston nn “Van” (another bay.)

Kern (again, shares sounds with Hudson & Crew but not too matchy. A river in California. Also means “little black-haired one or small, swarthy one.)

Powell (Colorado river reservoir)

More Lakes:

Barkley (meaning “where birches grow)

Dorian

Van

More rivers:

Murray (in Australia) (“settlement by the sea”)

More Seas:

Ross (“upland/peninsula”) very handsome next to Hudson & Crew!

More bays:

Ramsey

Sanders nn “Sandy” reminiscent of the beach

Sandler nn “Sandy,” reminiscent of the beach

I’ll have to come back later to leave my ideas for girls!

Rose is a beautiful stand alone name for first or middle! The names you love for girls seem to be romantic and girly :two_hearts:

some suggestions

Noa Rose

Opal Rose

Rose Coraline

[name_f]Karmen[/name_f]
[name_f]Piper[/name_f]
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f]
[name_f]Remi[/name_f]

I think [name_f]Gracelyn[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] work well - they have a hint ‘classic’ about them, but with a bit of cotemporary flair.

If I were to suggest names to match [name_m]Hudson[/name_m] and [name_m]Crew[/name_m], I’ll add…

[name_f]Etta[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Indie[/name_f]

[name_f]Eden[/name_f]
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f]
[name_f]Amber[/name_f]
[name_f]Delaney[/name_f]
[name_f]Gracie[/name_f]
[name_f]Marnie[/name_f]
[name_f]Romy[/name_f]
[name_f]Summer[/name_f]

Hello! If you end up not wanting just “Rose,” may I suggest [name_f]Rosella[/name_f] for either a first or a middle? It’s so underused! It also nicknames to “Rose” well.

[name_f]Rosella[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosella[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] / [name_f]Gracelyn[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosella[/name_f] [name_f]Adeline[/name_f]

[name_f]Juliet[/name_f] [name_f]Rosella[/name_f]
[name_f]Sofi[/name_f] [name_f]Rosella[/name_f]
[name_f]Brynn[/name_f] [name_f]Rosella[/name_f]
[name_f]Shae[/name_f] [name_f]Rosella[/name_f]
[name_f]Callie[/name_f] [name_f]Rosella[/name_f]

Hopefully these help!

I think [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] or [name_f]Rose[/name_f] fits best. [name_m]Classic[/name_m] but also another nature/noun name, plus it shares sounds/letters with your boys’.

Other suggestions (I like the nautical meanings/noun theme so these all fall under one of those categories):

Also, a couple more boys’ suggestions:

[name_f]Firth[/name_f] “arm of the sea”

[name_m]Rory[/name_m]

[name_f]Ro[/name_f]

[name_m]Royce[/name_m]

[name_m]Dalton[/name_m]

Sanderling (another seabird)

[name_m]Reed[/name_m]

[name_m]Reid[/name_m]

[name_m]Doyle[/name_m]

[name_m]Irving[/name_m]

[name_m]Rafferty[/name_m] “Raff”

[name_m]Gale[/name_m]

[name_f]My[/name_f] favourite from your list is [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]. I think it works nicely with your boys’ names, as a clearly feminine name.

I also like the idea of [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f], which could contract to [name_f]Romy[/name_f], [name_m]Remy[/name_m], [name_m]Rory[/name_m] or even [name_f]Roxy[/name_f] - names which fit right in with [name_m]Hudson[/name_m] and [name_m]Crew[/name_m].

Some other ideas:

[name_f]Autumn[/name_f]
[name_f]Brooklyn[/name_f]
[name_f]Cleo[/name_f]

[name_f]Sophie[/name_f]
[name_f]Stella[/name_f]
[name_f]Tatum[/name_f]
[name_f]Zara[/name_f]

I saw your post for your boys names first where you had mentioned [name_m]Dean[/name_m] as a possible name with family connections. Then I found this post this might be a little out there but what about ……

[name_f]Deanna[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_m]Roberts[/name_m]

This way you can incorporate [name_m]Dean[/name_m] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and I think it would go great with [name_m]Hudson[/name_m] and [name_m]Crew[/name_m].

[name_f]Deanna[/name_f] in my personal experience can be pronounced two ways.

Dean-ah or De-an-ah
I personally like Dean-ah better with your boys names.

Other suggestions:
[name_f]Avalon[/name_f]
[name_f]Alara[/name_f]
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f]
[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Briar[/name_f] (Rose as either a hyphenated name or a middle name [name_f]Briar[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] or Briar-Rose)
[name_f]Elara[/name_f]
[name_f]Elowen[/name_f]

Hudson, Crew, &

Rosalie is lovely, there. Fits nicely and incorporates the family name. As long as you’re good with Rosalie Roberts. Some people like alliteration and some don’t.

Gracelyn is nms.
