Robin or Robyn?

I’ve recently fallen for the name [name]Robyn[/name]/[name]Robin[/name] for a girl. I was wondering what you all thought and which spelling was preferred? Thanks!

hmm sorry i dont really see the appeal… i knew a girl with the name [name]Robin[/name] since childhood… as a teen or so she changed the spelling to [name]Robyn[/name].
[name]Robyn[/name] is decidedly a female name however i just dont find it cute or pretty sounding
[name]Robin[/name] is probably too masculine/ambiguous

I personally don’t like bird names, but I prefer the spelling [name]Robyn[/name] though.

[name]Robin[/name]. The trend of replacing random vowels with a Y irks me to no end. The name still sounds the same.

I prefer [name]Robin[/name] personally over [name]Robyn[/name].

I agree with agirlinred and prefer the “[name]Robin[/name]” spelling. My cousin’s mn is [name]Robin[/name], and there is a female character named [name]Robin[/name] on [name]How[/name] I Met Your Mother, and I think they’re both pretty feminine.

I really like bird names. I like the original [name]Robin[/name] because it’s kind of more classic/less dated than [name]Robyn[/name], which looks made up to me.
