What do you think of the name [name_m]Rocket[/name_m] for a girl?
As a nickname? Why not! As an actual name? Absolutely not. You could get to [name_m]Rocket[/name_m] through perhaps [name_f]Roxanne[/name_f] or anything beginning in [name_f]Ro[/name_f]–. Mmany times the nicknames have nothing to do with the actual names.
Nope. [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t care for that at all.
You mean for a human girl? I don’t like it. I think it’s too cutesy, like you were going for 40s or 50s nicknames, like [name_f]Kitty[/name_f], [name_f]Birdie[/name_f], [name_f]Cricket[/name_f], and completely missed with [name_m]Rocket[/name_m]. I think as a nickname to another name, sure. Why not? But as her only name? No, absolutely not.
I actually know an eleven year old boy whose name is [name_m]Rocket[/name_m]. His last name is [name_m]Burns[/name_m].
I think it would be a cute nickname for [name_f]Raquel[/name_f], [name_f]Roxanne[/name_f], [name_f]Roxana[/name_f], maybe even [name_f]Rachel[/name_f]. Super spunky and cool! Though I don’t think it’s great as a name on it’s own.
It’d work as a nickname but definitely not as a given name.
Not even as a nickname. No, nope, nada.
I think it works great as a pet name – meaning you could call your child this regardless of her actual name (whereas nicknames are usually tied to the given name). It has that quality of Chief or [name_u]Scout[/name_u].
Doesn’t work as a given name. And you’ve been given some suggestions for names that it could be a nn for.
I’m using it for a boy, love it for a girl as well! but my favorite girl name is [name_u]Indigo[/name_u]. Also kinda like [name_m]Saturn[/name_m] (for a girl)…it’s a little more out-there though
…Is this a joke?
[name_m]Rude[/name_m]. [name_m]Just[/name_m] because it’s not YOUR taste…sorry, but this kind of post annoys me.
Anyway, I’m not sure if I like it, but if I do, it’s on a boy.
…not in a trillion years.
It doesn’t really work in my opinion, a bit too ‘out there’
I agree with most that it is a nice nickname, but a definite no for a full name. Names beginning with [name_f]Ro[/name_f]- would suit [name_m]Rocket[/name_m] as a nickname.
I agree. There’s no reason to be judgemental
I actually know a [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] nicknamed [name_m]Rocket[/name_m]. But it’s definitely only a nickname!
[name_m]Don[/name_m]'t like it for girls or boys. At best, [name_m]Rocket[/name_m] feels like a personal nickname.
