I love the ‘Rom’ sound in names.
[name]Romy[/name] is on my girls name list, and [name]Romilly[/name] is a name I like the sound of too; [name]Roman[/name] was on our boys list but it just didn’t feel ideal.
Am just curious as to any ‘Rom’ names I’m missing- as interesting/rare as you like.
[name]Just[/name] hoping for some new finds, really!
Romain: I’m a big fan of the actor Romain Duris so I think it’s a great name but here it’s a lettuce
Here is a big list of “Rom” names, most of which I know little or nothing about so if you like one you should look into meaning, historical use and associations. Hope you find some inspiration. I cut & paste so just disregard any obvious undesirable names (like Romel which I’ll remove)

[name]Rosamund[/name] is a heavy but lovely name, imo!
Second vote for [name]Romola[/name] (Google [name]Romola[/name] Garai, she’s great!)
For the boys, there has been some great suggestions. Romin is particularly suave.
[name]Romer[/name] is a surname name I’ve heard used and liked. Roam is another boys’ name, meaning (predictably) ‘one who wanders’
[name]Rommel[/name]/ [name]Romel[/name]- Very unusual. I can kind of imagine this on a little boy now. Comes across as very serious though, for some reason…
[name]Romney[/name]- Welsh for ‘curving river’. I love this one!
Me too! I’m trying to get [name]Romilly[/name] past committee (DH!) with “[name]Romy[/name]” as nn.
In [name]England[/name], [name]Romy[/name] is often sort for [name]Rosemary[/name].
[name]Bartram[/name], boys name could be shortened to [name]Romy[/name]. Means “Glorious [name]Raven[/name]” = maybe good for dark haired baby?
[name]Bromley[/name] also has a strong “rom” - it means “bush covered meadow”.
I like [name]Roma[/name] and [name]Romilly[/name]. I have a friend named [name]Romilda[/name], and I knew an elderly lady named [name]Romaine[/name] but all I think of is lettuce
