Sorry for repeats! I think most of the Roman mythology names I can think of have been said, but here are some names used in Ancient Rome

Cornelia
Aurelia
Flavia
Julia
Anna
Livia
Victoria
Octavia
Augusta
Junia
Antonia
Claudia
Valentina
Cecilia
Priscilla
Camilla
Decima
Faustina
Laelia
Lucretia
Marcella
Quintia
Maxima
Sabina
Septima
Tatiana
Tullia

Girls in Rome were given the feminine variation of their dad’s last name, so any latin boys name/surname with an A on the end replacing the “us” would be used

Flavia
[name_f]Agrippina[/name_f]
[name_f]Antonina[/name_f]
[name_f]Aureliana[/name_f]
[name_f]Augusta[/name_f]
[name_f]Cassia[/name_f]
Cloelia
[name_f]Floriana[/name_f]
[name_f]Gratiana[/name_f]
[name_f]Horatia[/name_f]
[name_f]Hortensia[/name_f]
[name_f]Laelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Laurentia[/name_f]
[name_f]Liviana[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucretia[/name_f]
[name_f]Venetia[/name_f]
[name_f]Severina[/name_f]
[name_f]Valeria[/name_f]

That’s interesting. [name_f]My[/name_f] dad’s name was [name_m]Terrence[/name_m] which I think is a [name_m]Roman[/name_m] name

Terentius is a latin name, so the feminine form would be [name_f]Terentia[/name_f].

I love that. Thanks I’m curious if they had more than one daughter do they all have the same name?!

yep! roman women weren’t given names. love that for them.

sometimes you’ll see historians using certain methods of differentiating roman women because their names were all sooo common, for example, three sisters being called julia prima, julia secunda, and julia tertia, which is literally just numbering them. other than that all roman womens’ names were just feminized patronyms.

It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but one of my personal favorites is [name]Venilia[/name_f] (ven-nee-lee-uh) :relaxed:
She’s the [name_m]Roman[/name_m] deity of the sea and winds. I like [name]Vennie[/name_f] as a nickname

Yep! It would be [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Prima[/name_f], [name_f]Anna[/name_f] Secunda, [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Tertia[/name_f], etc

Just wanted to add: similar to how slaves were named. Basically it’s saying they are the property of the head of household, or the oldest man. Think [name_f]Offred[/name_f] vibes

Really interesting thank you. I would be [name_f]Terentia[/name_f] Secunda. Catchy
