We’re expecting a little girl in [name_f]September[/name_f], and I’m having a harder time on her name than I did with her brothers. [name_f]Romilly[/name_f] has been at the top of my list for a few years, but now that we’re actually talking about naming a little person my husband isn’t completely sure about it (he says it reminds him of [name_m]Rommel[/name_m]). I love how lilting it sounds, and how many nickname possibilities it seems to have - [name_f]Ro[/name_f], [name_u]Romy[/name_u], [name_f]Millie[/name_f], [name_f]Milla[/name_f]… he’ll let me go with this if I push, but I’d like a name we both love.
I recently came across the name [name_f]Annelie[/name_f], pronounced [name_m]AH[/name_m]-na-lee, and it really struck me - it seems to have a lot of the similar rhythm and feel, and the additional HUGE benefit of being a version of my late mother’s name, [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]-[name_f]Ann[/name_f]. (She never loved her name, and I don’t love any of the more used versions). I tend I love the look of 2 middle names for girls, and I’ve played around with:
[name_f]Romilly[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f]
[name_f]Annelie[/name_f] [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_u]Bird[/name_u]
Which name do you like better? Which works best with big brothers [name_m]Cashel[/name_m] [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] and [name_m]Torin[/name_m] [name_u]Michael[/name_u]? Any other suggestions?
