Between the two, which do you prefer? Both have sort of just snuck up on me, and I can’t seem to decide between the two. My boys’ list is lengthy enough right now that I don’t really want to add both, and they seem a little bit similar for brothers, no? I like the mn [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] for both (or maybe [name_m]Joshua[/name_m]?), and I’ve been tossing around the idea of [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] nn [name_u]Rory[/name_u], but I’m not sure it’s worth the effort. [name_u]Rory[/name_u]'s no shorter than [name_m]Ronan[/name_m], and they’re both full names in and of themselves, so is there really a point? It’s not like he could always be [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] AND [name_u]Rory[/name_u]…
I love both. I’ve had this internal debate myself. Ultimately [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] is my favorite, however it is unusable for me. I love [name_u]Rory[/name_u] almost as much, and have him in my top 5-10 for actual use. I see you have [name_u]Everett[/name_u] in your sig, [name_u]Rory[/name_u] [name_u]Everett[/name_u] is a combo on my list. [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] [name_u]Everett[/name_u] would be nice too.
I love [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] [name_m]Samuel[/name_m]. [name_u]Rory[/name_u] [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] is very nice but isn’t quite as smooth to me. [name_u]Rory[/name_u] [name_m]Joshua[/name_m] is actually nice too (you can call him [name_f]Ro[/name_f]-[name_u]Jo[/name_u] on occasion, which I actually think is kind of funny/cute. but that might be a negative to some ppl).
ack I love them all. The only thing I can say definitively is that I don’t love the idea of [name_u]Rory[/name_u] as a nickname for [name_m]Ronan[/name_m]. I just feel like they’re separate names, and without the second r there, it doesn’t really make sense to me.
I don’t like [name_u]Rory[/name_u] as a nickname for [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] either, so I would personally go with one or the other. I prefer [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] of your options. Good luck!
I find [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] strong and handsome, while [name_u]Rory[/name_u] is still a little too cutesy for me! I think [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] ages better and has a more classic feel about it compared to [name_u]Rory[/name_u], which sounds more child like and trendy.
[name_m]Ronan[/name_m] [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] is fabulous, and just perfect. [name_u]Rory[/name_u] [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] doesn’t sound anywhere near as good [name_f]IMO[/name_f].
[name_m]Ronan[/name_m] is the better of the two. It can get to [name_u]Rory[/name_u] in a pinch for a cute nn, but stands up better through the years and situations. Plus, [name_u]Rory[/name_u] is a nn for [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], which is growing in popularity. Better to have [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] to fall back on should he have a female [name_u]Rory[/name_u] in a class.
I prefer [name_m]Ronan[/name_m], but [name_u]Rory[/name_u] is so close, it’s a tough one for me to call…
I think when it comes down to it, sibsets can help decide. What would his future brother’s be named? Which fits best with those?
I see from your signature you have [name_m]Caleb[/name_m] and [name_u]Everett[/name_u], I feel like [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] fits best with those two. [name_u]Rory[/name_u] fits so handsomely with [name_m]Jack[/name_m], though. [name_m]Just[/name_m] look at your whole boys’ list and see from there.
Good luck! Two great choices.
I’m considering either [name_m]Roarke[/name_m] or [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] with [name_u]Rory[/name_u] as a nickname for my baby boy due in Feb. [name_u]Love[/name_u] them all. I do like having a “more formal” sounding name with [name_u]Rory[/name_u] as a nn though.
Based solely on the name, I prefer [name_u]Rory[/name_u]. However, it is hard to say over and over. So, still undecided because I love both.
[name_m]Ronan[/name_m], it’s easier for me to pronounce.
I love both. I’d go with [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] over [name_u]Rory[/name_u] for a girl because [name_u]Rory[/name_u] has become so popular for girls. Can’t go wrong with either though!
I prefer [name_m]Ronan[/name_m], [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] is sooo handsome! I think [name_u]Rory[/name_u] is nice too, but I just like [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] better. [name_u]Rory[/name_u] would be a cute nn for [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] when he’s a baby since [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] is so strong sounding.
