Ronnie and Roni

Do you think these could come back into style?

As full names or nicknames for Veronica or Sophronia, Ronia maybe? Any others?

I think it’s kind of cute, there’s a Veronica “Ronnie” on Riverdale. Roni looks cute too. Ronny looks more masculine to me.

I think they could come back! Maybe not quite yet but I can see it happening in the future. I think [name_u]Ronnie[/name_u] is cute!

[name_f]Veronica[/name_f] is the most obvious full name to me, and [name_f]Sophronia[/name_f] and [name_f]Ronia[/name_f] definitely work too. Also [name_f]Ronja[/name_f], [name_f]Rhonwen[/name_f], Bronwen/Bronwyn, and [name_f]Saffron[/name_f] could be options.

I like [name_u]Roni[/name_u] too but personally I would assume it was pronounced ro-nee (rhymes with Tony) rather than like [name_u]Ronnie[/name_u]. I prefer [name_u]Roni[/name_u] pronounced that way, and [name_u]Ronnie[/name_u] as Ron+ ee sound.

I think since unisex names are in style and [name_u]Ronnie[/name_u] is popular in the UK for a boy, it could?

I’d pronounce [name_u]Roni[/name_u] as Ro-nee (like [name_u]Joni[/name_u] or [name_u]Toni[/name_u] - and like the Hebrew name Roni)

[name_f]Sophronia[/name_f] nn [name_u]Roni[/name_u] or [name_u]Ronnie[/name_u] is cute!

Also [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] or [name_f]Saffron[/name_f] maybe?
