Rory or Rowan?

[name_u]Rowan[/name_u]! I love the adventurous feeling of [name_u]Rowan[/name_u]! [name_u]Rory[/name_u] is really difficult for me to say, and it is too nickname-y to stand alone imo.

Rowan

I prefer [name_u]Rory[/name_u]. It’s a name I’ve loved for a long time. I can’t give you any real reason why I prefer it to [name_u]Rowan[/name_u]; it’s just personal preference I suppose.

I vote for [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] nn [name_u]Rory[/name_u].

I like them both. [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] nn [name_u]Rory[/name_u] was on my list for a very long time. I know [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] is becoming more popular for girls and a lot of people find it feminine, but I do not at all.

Rowan! It sounds so masculine to me! Also I’ve never really been a fan of [name_u]Rory[/name_u] in general.

I LOVE [name_u]Rory[/name_u]. It has so much attitude to it, and it sounds so cool. I can see it on a child and adult. It also sounds like the name of a racecar driver or someone involved in motorsport. I get this image because when I was younger I watched a show called Roary the Racing Car. [name_u]Rory[/name_u] is your best bet. I don’t think it needs a longer form, it can stand on its own.

I prefer [name_u]Rowan[/name_u]. I think of it as unisex.
I’ve only known a girl [name_u]Rory[/name_u]- short for [name_f]Aurora[/name_f].
I’ve always had a rough time pronouncing [name_u]Rory[/name_u] for some reason- it just doesn’t roll off the tongue

Rory gets my vote.
In our area, [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] is too far gone into the girl’s side, and even without that rather unfortunate regional tidbit, I like [name_u]Rory[/name_u]’s meaning and simplicity. For a short name, it still has strength and presence.

While [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] is becoming more popular among girls, it’s a classic Irish boy’s name pronounced Row-uhn, not Ro-Anne
