[name_f]Rosalba[/name_f] [name_f]Sloanne[/name_f] ~ called [name_u]Albie[/name_u] for short?? I find it endearing, especially for a child/pre-teen but I do see how [name_f]Alba[/name_f] would be a more immediate shortening of the name.
[name_u]Albie[/name_u] as a nickname for [name_f]Rosalba[/name_f] as opposed to [name_f]Alba[/name_f], yay or nay?
I think itās fine. After all the nameās pronounced Rosa-alba or Rose-alba from what Iāve looked up & Albieās a natural nn for [name_f]Alba[/name_f].
I agree with everyone else. There is nothing farfetched about nickname [name_u]Albie[/name_u] for [name_f]Rosalba[/name_f]. It makes complete sense and is very sweet.
[name_u]Albie[/name_u] works perfectly for a nn for [name_f]Rosalba[/name_f]. I donĀ“t see it as far fetched at all, not that it would matter if it was. Very cute nn!
if it fits with the character, sure!! itās just a question of whether you think her personality would fit alba or albie or either some other nickname best. [name_u]Albie[/name_u] is not at all far-fetched!!
Some other nickname ideas, just in case
[name_f]Rosie[/name_f]
[name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_u]Allie[/name_u]
[name_m]Al[/name_m]
[name_f]Ro[/name_f]
[name_u]Abby[/name_u]
[name_u]Raz[/name_u]
I think there are different kinds of nicknames, ones that shorten the name and ones that make a name cuter. [name_f]Alba[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosa[/name_f] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] would fall under the first category; [name_u]Albie[/name_u], [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] Rosalbie, Rosalbita,ā¦ all fall under the ācutenā category and neither have to make sense nor need to be shorter nor have to be used by everyone.
[name_u]Albie[/name_u] isnāt a big stretch but I could imagine a [name_f]Rosalba[/name_f] going by [name_f]Rose[/name_f] or [name_f]Alba[/name_f] rather than [name_u]Albie[/name_u] as an everyday nickname, saving [name_u]Albie[/name_u] for close friends and family.
