What are your thoughts on these two names? Which one do you prefer?
I love them both! [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] sounds very grown up and strong. [name_f]Rowena[/name_f] is fairylike. I think I’d be more likely to use [name_f]Rowena[/name_f].
I love both, particularly [name_f]Rowena[/name_f].
I prefer [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] with the nickname [name_f]Rosie[/name_f]. It makes me think of [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m]. I prefer [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] to [name_f]Rowena[/name_f], personally.
I absolutely love both, although with [name_f]Rowena[/name_f], I only like it as [name_f]Ro[/name_f]-ENN-uh (not [name_f]Ro[/name_f]-een-uh), and have it spelled on my list so that pronunciation is more intuitive. But anyway, [name_f]Rowena[/name_f] is magical, and whimsical, even with a [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] association, whilst [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] is strong and vintage, with the connection to [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_m]Franklin[/name_m] really standing out for me, as I’m considering going into genetics. I think [name_f]Rowena[/name_f] (how I like it haha) would be my favourite, though I’ve worried in the past about tripping over it a bit with the R and W sounds so close together (but that’s probably just me). But it has some great imagery behind it, and has that rare combination of beauty, usability, and low popularity.
I like them equally as well.
I love [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f].
I love [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] amd any combo name with [name_f]Rosa[/name_f]. I do like [name_u]Rowan[/name_u], but dislike [name_f]Rowena[/name_f]. I can just imagine little boys saying ro-weiner. Kids can be cruel.
I prefer [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]. [name_f]Rowena[/name_f] feels dated to me, but I would like to see it used on a little one.
I like [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f], but I like [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] or [name_u]Rosario[/name_u] better. [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] as an nn is cute! I’m not a fan of [name_f]Rowena[/name_f]. I like [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] for a boy and that is what this name makes me think of.
I love both but I think I like [name_f]Rowena[/name_f] better
