Thoughts on [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]? I really like it.

Would it be odd to have a daughter names [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] if the other daughter had [name_f]Rose[/name_f] as one of her two middle names?

Which combo would you choose?

[name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_f]Opal[/name_f], [name_f]Holly[/name_f] [name_f]Eva[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] … … ? (add two middle names)

Other names I like: [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f], [name_f]Ruby[/name_f], [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f], [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], [name_f]Everly[/name_f], [name_f]Autumn[/name_f], [name_f]Hayley[/name_f], [name_f]Poppy[/name_f], [name_f]Lyra[/name_f], [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], [name_f]Ella[/name_f], [name_f]Isabella[/name_f], [name_f]Annabel[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], [name_f]Elinor[/name_f] - just as a style inspiration.

Is [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] odd next to [name_f]Holly[/name_f] or [name_f]Lily[/name_f] or does it fit just fine? [name_f]Do[/name_f] [name_f]Ruby[/name_f], [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] or [name_f]Everly[/name_f] fit better?

I love almost all [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] names but especially [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]. I love That she is also a character in [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m]

To me I think she fits perfectly , and she may have some nickname options to boot . [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] , [name_f]Rosa[/name_f] , [name_f]Lindy[/name_f] , [name_f]Indy[/name_f] , [name_m]Ali[/name_m] , [name_f]Sally[/name_f] , (just to name a few)

I think [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] goes really well with [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_f]Opal[/name_f] & [name_f]Holly[/name_f] [name_f]Eva[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]

If I were to pick a name that isn’t [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] , it would be poppy . It’s another flower name and ends in a y , however that sticks with a theme

Reminds me of Rosalind Franklin in a Good way.

I personally do not know if I would use it if the other daughter has Rose as one of her 2 middle Names.

I like [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] but I don’t like [name_f]Ros[/name_f] (“Roz”) so that would give me pause. And while I don’t think sibsets should be paramount I do think names should be broadly equitable and I do think [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] is pretty different to [name_f]Lily[/name_f] and [name_f]Holly[/name_f]. It goes with [name_f]Lily[/name_f], I think, better than [name_f]Holly[/name_f]. [name_f]Holly[/name_f] is storybook cute but also has another aspect of being quite sporty (Brit hockey girl), contemporary and fresh.

I think [name_f]Lily[/name_f], [name_f]Holly[/name_f] & [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] sound better as a combo. I like [name_f]Everly[/name_f] with [name_f]Holly[/name_f] but I would then change [name_f]Lily[/name_f] (for style reasons, but you might want them all with -ly endings). I don’t love the name [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] generally but I probably wouldn’t use with [name_f]Holly[/name_f] just because it’s too assonant for me. But I do appreciate the point above that it means three flowers. [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] is another option.

Other trios I like:

[name_f]Hermione[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] & [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]
[name_f]Holly[/name_f], [name_f]Everly[/name_f] & [name_f]Autumn[/name_f]
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f], [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] & [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabella[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] & [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]
[name_f]Hayley[/name_f], [name_f]Ella[/name_f] & [name_f]Autumn[/name_f]

I wouldn’t use [name_f]Rose[/name_f] as a middle and [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] as a first unless I used [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and years later, realised I wanted to use a [name_f]Rose[/name_f] name in the top. So if you’re preparing the names and locking them in (and unless [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is a family name), and you’re set on [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f], why not find a different second for [name_f]Holly[/name_f]?

In terms of a combo, I like [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] or (if we go with Ivy) [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f].

[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] is a different style to [name_f]Lily[/name_f] and [name_f]Holly[/name_f] and I would be surprised by it in the set, but I have met siblings like that before (think [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] and [name_f]Arabella[/name_f], [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] and Helena) so it’s not undoable and I don’t massively overthink it when I’ve met those sibs. I think it could work.

[name_f]Do[/name_f] I think [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] and [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] fit stylistically better? Sure, but I guess siblings aren’t always going to be referred to together

[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] is such a strong and elegant name! I always think of [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] Penderwick (from the children’s book series The Penderwicks) and she was a great character. I think she fits fine next to [name_f]Holly[/name_f] and [name_f]Lily[/name_f]. I don’t think it would be a big deal if a daughter was named [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] when another had [name_f]Rose[/name_f] as a second middle name. You could view it as a sweet connection between sisters. However, I probably wouldn’t do it unless I had two separate reasons to use [name_f]Rose[/name_f] names. [name_f]Ruby[/name_f], [name_f]Poppy[/name_f], and [name_f]Everly[/name_f] also go together fine, but I think I prefer [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f], [name_f]Holly[/name_f], and [name_f]Lily[/name_f] especially if [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] went by Rosy/Rosie!

I really like [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] and would love to see people use it more!

I don’t think it’s the end of the world since another daughter has [name_f]Rose[/name_f] as a middle name, given that everyone has 2 middle names and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is the second - it’s unlikely that your children’s entire names will be said aloud together.

[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Tess[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]

I do agree with above points that [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] seems to stand out a bit stylistically from [name_f]Lily[/name_f] and [name_f]Holly[/name_f], though if you call her [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] as a nickname, it would fit right in. I think [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] and [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] fit in particularly well with [name_f]Lily[/name_f] and [name_f]Holly[/name_f].
