Rosamunda

[name_m]Hi[/name_m], all! So don’t worry, I’m not actually going to use this name for a character, or otherwise, but I have a question. I noticed this isn’t on NB ([name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] is), so I was wondering, is this not a real name? I really thought it was, but I’m probably wrong!! And also, I actually really like the sound, so what are your thoughts about it? I use it once in my book, but not for a character, just as a reference (I promise it makes sense). Thank you for answering my many questions!!

I associate Rosamunda with a type of potato (a common variety in my part of Europe) but I’m also pretty sure it’s a legitimate name as well? (Rosamonda, with an o, is at least the Italian version of [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f]/Rosamunde - can imagine Rosamunda getting used to some extent as well)

I’d assume it was an elaboration of [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] so i guess it’s real

I think it is a real name, but probably too uncommon and unexpected to appear on NB. Have you search Rosamonda?

I did, and surprisingly it’s not there either. Oh well!

I found this!

It’s definitely a real name! I found this about it http://www.thinkbabynames.com/meaning/0/Rosamunda
As soon as I saw Rosamunda I thought of the word mundo, which is Spanish for world. That makes me kind of biased against the name haha
I think I like [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] better
