I love it too! Definitely prefer it for a girl (I love O endings on girls!) but it’s very handsome for a boy as well. So much energy in this name.

Actually, I’ve also always loved this name! I wouldn’t use it, either, but I think the sound is absolutely gorgeous! And [name_f]Rose[/name_f] or [name_f]Rosy[/name_f] could be a nickname.

I think it’s very pretty! I knew someone with this name. She was Mexican American so the name seems very Latina to me.
It is a really cool way to get to the nn [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] or [name_u]Rory[/name_u]. :blush:

I am in the UK so it would prob not really have that same affiliation for me? [name_m]Don[/name_m]’t know many Latinos :rofl::slightly_smiling_face:.

Closest I am to a Latino is watching J-[name_f]Lo[/name_f] on the TV.

I actually prefer it for a boy – the -o ending makes it feel more masculine to me. But it’s a charming name either way! :slight_smile:

It was my great-grandmother’s name. She was mostly known by Charito. This name has a heavy feeling to me, I don’t really like it but I can see why people like it. I know it’s masculine in certain parts of Spain, but I can assure you, 99,9% of Rosarios in Spain are women in their 60s!

I think I read somewhere once that it is primarly feminine in Spain, but in [name_f]Italy[/name_f] it is actually masculine. :woman_shrugging:t3:
