I don’t think [name_u]Roscoe[/name_u] is “doggy” (a description which made me laugh out loud) at all. It’s my favourite from your list, followed by Tarran.
I don’t know why, but [name_m]Rafferty[/name_m] has actually always struck me -as you put it- as “doggy”. Maybe the “raff” part reminds me of a dog’s bark…not too sure…I’m sure I’m alone in this opinion though.
Great list, lots of handsome and memorable choices. Your little one will be well named.
[name_u]Roscoe[/name_u] is our dog’s name, lmao. [name_u]Love[/name_u] it. I voted [name_m]Rafferty[/name_m] though which I love on a little boy.
Haha, oh no!! That’s what I was afraid of!! Lol
Well thank you! Much appreciated xx
I definitely don’t think it’s “doggy”. I’ve never met or heard of a dog called [name_u]Roscoe[/name_u]. It’s been on my list for ages, and I think it’s very dashing.
[name_u]Roscoe[/name_u] is a cool name. A bit hipster. It’s not a doggie name to me at all.
It’s also the name of a great song by a band called Midlake. Check it out!
I think [name_u]Roscoe[/name_u] is so cute! And I don’t think it will necessarily get shortened to [name_m]Ross[/name_m] since it’s short and nice on its own! I like Tarran next on your list! But [name_u]Roscoe[/name_u] is by far my favorite from your list! So handsome
Haha! [name_m]Rosco[/name_m] is one of our dogs’ names as well, so I definitely associate it with dogs but I think it could work for a person as well. I also wouldn’t immediately call anything named [name_m]Rosco[/name_m] “[name_m]Ross[/name_m].”
That being said, I do quite like [name_m]Rafferty[/name_m].
[name_u]Roscoe[/name_u] was on my list until the hubs said no. I love it. Almost every human name has been someone’s dog name. My cats name is [name_m]Jack[/name_m] and I am still debating on using it for a middle name. I say [name_u]Roscoe[/name_u]”
[name_u]Roscoe[/name_u] is my favorite name by far.
I think people are naming their dogs human names these days. Yes, I had a friend who named their dog [name_u]Roscoe[/name_u]. I also have a friend who named their dog [name_f]Jenny[/name_f]. Take that how you will.
Eh, I don’t think Rosoce is particularly “doggy,” and even if it were, there are still plenty of kids being named [name_u]Max[/name_u] and [name_u]Sam[/name_u], [name_f]Mollie[/name_f] and [name_f]Daisy[/name_f], [name_m]Jack[/name_m] and [name_u]Bailey[/name_u] - all very popular dog names. I think it’s totally wearable.
You have an altogether great short list; my favorite is [name_m]Rafferty[/name_m], but any of these names would be great on a little boy. The only concern I would point out is that to me, both Tarran and [name_m]Hendrie[/name_m] look misspelled, as my instinct would be Taran and Hendry.
I love roscoe and don’t think it’s too doggy at all!
I have to be the voice of dissent and say it’s actually very doggy to me, haha. Sorry!
[name_m]Rafferty[/name_m] is such a great name, it got my vote!
I really like your list! [name_u]Roscoe[/name_u] has no dog associations for me. Good name.
I am intrigued by [name_m]Hendrie[/name_m] which I haven’t seen before and had to look up. I think this could be a great choice, especially if you have history connected with it.
I voted for [name_m]Rafferty[/name_m]. I have a friend who goes by “[name_m]Raff[/name_m]” and I like it a lot.
[name_u]Roscoe[/name_u] is super cool! I wouldn’t think “dog” and I don’t think that really matters anyway. I love lots names like [name_u]Max[/name_u] and [name_u]Rex[/name_u] and [name_m]Rufus[/name_m] that people often associate with dogs and it doesn’t put me off at all. I actually know a little (human) [name_u]Roscoe[/name_u] and it suits him fine.
Second choice [name_m]Rafferty[/name_m]. I’m not too keen on the others. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_u]Flynn[/name_u] or [name_u]Fife[/name_u]/[name_m]Fyfe[/name_m]?
Yes, too doggy and too [name_u]Roscoe[/name_u] P. Coletrain. [name_m]Rafferty[/name_m] is nice
