Thanks for replaying to my post on [name_f]Rose[/name_f] vs. [name_f]Tiffany[/name_f]! We’ve decided that we prefer [name_f]Rose[/name_f] but have encountered another predicament as we’ve come to love [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] as well. I feel like we’re never going to find the right name for our daughter
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] vs. [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] then? What do you guys think?
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] is so lovely, I love the nickname [name_f]Rosie[/name_f], and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is equally lovely as I’m a huge fan of [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Bronte[/name_f]. Which one do you guys prefer as a first name? We’ll likely be deciding between:
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
and
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
Let us know which one you like more, thank you
([name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] have also been suggested.)
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], then [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. Both are lovely names. [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is considerably more distinctive though, I feel like I’ve met more than one baby [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f].
I love [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] It is popular but that’s because it’s so lovely! I think [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] flows better than [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f].
I love both [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]. Personally, I would choose [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] over [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] though both sound great. [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is just so expected since [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is such a common middle, and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is so popular right now. I think [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is idyllic. Plus I love the nn [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] too
Both are lovely, but I would go with [name_f]Rose[/name_f] since it’s so underused and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is very popular right now. [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] seems a lot more distinctive and unexpected compared to [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], in my opinion.
I prefer [name_f]Rose[/name_f], as its simplicity is what I see the beauty in. [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is a lovely combo, and I think it would be perfect.
I agree with some pp that [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is more distinct than [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], though both are lovely.
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] is probably the #1 middle name right now but you don’t hear it so much as a first these days… so I’d go with [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]. That sounds great as a combo imo
This is tricky to be honest.
Initially if I were simply choosing between [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Rose[/name_f] would win every time for me, because honestly, [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is so incredibly overused. I also can’t get past the Çharlotte the Harlot connotation… it’s just what I think of every time!
I’m not sure where you are, but here in Australia [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] was THE most popular girls name for 2016. I know more than a handful of [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]'s under the age of 7! That being said, [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is super popular as a middle name, but fresh, feminine and understated as a first name. I even like the [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] or [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] variants too, for something a little more ‘frilly’ if that’s your style.
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f] is another super popular choice, but I do love it. [name_m]Even[/name_m] though it’s very common, it sounds fresh and pretty to me, and I honestly don’t know many young [name_f]Sophie[/name_f]/[name_f]Sophia[/name_f]'s at all. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] as an option? If it is a contender, I still think [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is fine, if you want to include [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], or [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is another lovely combination too.
You really have lots of options, and while it’s great to get advice, you have to go with your gut. If you [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and don’t mind the popularity of it, then go with it. It’s a well recognised name, everyone knows how to say and spell it, and there are oodles of cute nickname options. But, be prepared that she might be one of 6 girls with the same name in her class at school. If popularity sways you, then I’d go for [name_f]Rose[/name_f] as my top pick.
I love both of these names, but I’d have to say I personally prefer the option of [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]. Purely because the popularity of names is an issue for me, and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is very popular in most English-speaking countries, and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is a very popular middle name.
I think [name_f]Rose[/name_f] as a first name is so classy and underrated! I’d love to see more little [name_f]Rose[/name_f]'s be born.
I love [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]! And I think [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] flows better than [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f].
