Hey berries me again asking about girls names even though my 20 week scan isn’t till 25.9.20 so this could be a load of questions about a non existent daughter anyways here I am asking another question!
After much thought discussing it with you guys I feel like I don’t want to give up on [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. [name_f]Rose[/name_f] just makes me happy and I think it’s my name. The two choices I’m most invested in is [name_f]Rose[/name_f] & [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]. I love [name_f]Rose[/name_f] just concerned about my best friends daughter being
[name_u]Peyton[/name_u]-[name_f]Rose[/name_f] & my other best friend’s niece being [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Eleri[/name_f] which makes [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] a nice alternative also [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] isn’t as popular. Still I do love [name_f]Rose[/name_f] she’s just stunning!
I’ve chosen [name_f]Rose[/name_f] just because whenever I see [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] I’m instantly tempted to say [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]’s baby so not exactly the most positive of associations for me.
I chose [name_f]Rose[/name_f] because you seem to love it more. Both names are equally beautiful to me. I do feel like [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] flows a bit better with your surname though. But if you think you’ll call her [name_f]Rose[/name_f] anyway it doesn’t really matter.
Gorgeous combos!
I love long names, and all your names are absolutely gorgeous. I think [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] is absolutely stunning!
I say just go with [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. That’s the name you love, and I think it will be perfectly fine with your friends’ connections! That said, [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] is also darling, and you could always nn her “[name_f]Rose[/name_f]” if you wanted to. So, really, either name works to get [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. It just comes down to whether you prefer [name_f]Rose[/name_f] on her own, or [name_f]Rose[/name_f] as a nn.
I’ve gone for [name_f]Rose[/name_f] because I think it flows better with the middles and I personally prefer it to [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f].
Maybe it’s been suggested already, I haven’t been following your other threads, but have you considered [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]? I’m a fan of this name.
Can I just say that my mom is named [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]… [name_f]My[/name_f] whole life, when we introduce ourselves, we often get the joking comment of, “[name_m]Ah[/name_m], so YOUR [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]’s baby” to me
We think it’s funny and breaks the ice with strangers. I don’t see the association as a bad one.
Also, when my mom’s niece decided to name her baby [name_u]Sage[/name_u], it was a really sweet connection with the herb association.
Personally, I voted for [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] because I like it better with your middle names. [name_m]Even[/name_m] with [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] in the middle, is strikes me that [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is a very spring name while [name_u]Winter[/name_u] is… a winter name I just feel like they clash… But I don’t get that vibe from [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u].
But, with all that being said, it sounds like your heart is set on [name_f]Rose[/name_f], so you should stick with that!
Thank you I am leaning towards [name_f]Rose[/name_f] it’s just the name that makes me happy but if I feel [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is too close to [name_u]Peyton[/name_u]-[name_f]Rose[/name_f] will keep [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] on the back burner!
Thank you for the suggestion of [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] it’s super pretty & I have considered it what puts me off is that I have relatives/friends from [name_u]Glasgow[/name_u] with thick Glaswegians accents and [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] just sounds odd!
That story with your mum is really funny I think that’s a great ice breaker! I don’t know whether the association of [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]’s baby is more American as I only see this association on nameberry whereas when I’m asking my family/friends they don’t know the association maybe I’m asking the wrong people though I’m glad you don’t think it’s a bad one. Also [name_u]Sage[/name_u] is a sweet choice for your cousin!
I do agree that [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] does have a cool wintry vibe I do like that! Whereas [name_f]Rose[/name_f] has more of a spring vibe. I really liked [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] which I’ve been told by another [name_u]Berry[/name_u] is the flower for [name_f]February[/name_f] which is apt as my baby is due 9.2.2021 but mum hates it so that put me off.
Honestly this is what everyone is saying to me that [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is my name so I think I am leaning towards just using [name_f]Rose[/name_f] with [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] as my back up name if the [name_f]Rose[/name_f] association is to much with my friends daughter [name_u]Peyton[/name_u]-[name_f]Rose[/name_f]
I also think [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] is really refreshing that’s what I do like about [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]
I think currently I’m having [name_f]Rose[/name_f] as my front runner just because it’s the name that makes me so so happy but if the association with my friends daughter is to much [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] will definitely take over!
