Probably [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]. I like both but [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] also seems a little fresher to me. At the same time, I like the simplicity of [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. For me, as a real person, the practical consideration is my last name is one syllable and ends in a z sound, so [name_f]Rose[/name_f] with it is a little weird - not unbearable but a little off. But [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] is quite lovely with it. If I had a different last name, like a long one, I could go more for [name_f]Rose[/name_f].
I chose [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]. [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] would be a close second, but if you have a short, z-ending last name, I think that might be a little stilted.
Our last name is a two syllable Mc- name.
I love both, but prefer [name_f]Rose[/name_f].
I much prefer [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]. She can always go by [name_f]Rose[/name_f] if she wants but I think [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] is prettier and less expected.
