What is your opinion on it? I am liking it recently even if it is not my usual style. Romy is a nickname that I like.
How do you picture a Rosemary? What aesthetics and images come by?
Bonus question: Do you prefer: Rosemary, Rosemarie, or Rosa-Marie? I like them all.
Rosemary pronounced as Rose + Mary and Rosemarie pronounced as Rose + Marie

It was a top 3 contender for my daughterās name until my mother said she didnāt like it (because of a real Rosemary).
Anyway I still really like it - it gives maturity, prettiness, and earnestness. [name_f]My[/name_f] own niggling concern at the time was that it has a sanctimonious/holier than thou quality in my mind, not sure why.
The nickname [name_u]Romy[/name_u] could either make it even more vintage (but now a little cuter) or else give it a needed spunkier, darker edge.
[name_f]My[/name_f] other reservation with it is the pronunciation- some say Rose-Mary (as youāve directed), others Rosemāree - which is slightly different to [name_f]Rosemarie[/name_f] (though [name_f]Rosemarie[/name_f] can also be a pronunciation for [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] in practice).
In some way, [name_f]Rosemarie[/name_f] is clearer on how to say it. Same for Rosa-Marie. Today Iām leaning towards [name_f]Rosemarie[/name_f]. And generally, Iāve been wondering about Mary-Rose instead.

May you please rephrase this please? I did not understand it at all even if I tried to read it⦠(English is not my first language).
[name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] is nice, I like the nickname options too! (Rose, [name_f]Rosie[/name_f], [name_f]Mary[/name_f], [name_u]Romy[/name_u], Roryā¦)
[name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] makes me think of cottagecore and forest green for some reason.
I like [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f], [name_f]Rosemarie[/name_f] and Rosa-Marie but my favorite is [name_f]Rosemarie[/name_f]!

It means self-righteous/ religiously superior / self-satisfied etc, hope that helps.
I think the name is lovely! It brings about a slight ācottagecoreā imagery to mind, but not as much as some names do! I enjoy the varients you listed, but I enjoy [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] the most. Itās the connection to the herb for me! I like nature inspired names, and the earthy evergreen vibes from the plant are so nice.
I think [name_u]Romy[/name_u] is a very fun nickname for it
I like it! It would be higher on my list of I didnāt already like [name_f]Primrose[/name_f], [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]. I also like [name_u]Romary[/name_u] (u).
[name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] is charming and traditional but I find [name_f]Rosemarie[/name_f] to be sweeter. I picture a rainy day, rose bushes, apple-picking, wooden cabins, candles, slow dancing, cooking with your loved one and herbs from the garden.
I would pronounce them both the same in my accent - ROSE-muh-ree or ROSE-māree
I think Rosemary is gentle, soft and cottagecore. Itās slightly an old lady name to me but then, theyāre in fashion atm! I see a cottage garden, watering the flowers, growing your own vegetables, hand-knitted jumpers, straw hats, cooking stew on a Sunday. I think of the (really old now) detective tv show called Rosemary and Thyme in which two older ladies solve crimes!

Trying to see it without those associationsā¦I think if I came across it for the first time now Iād really like it! I love pretty much all Rose names and anything to do with the sea - so rose + mary/marie should be my cup of tea. I think I probably prefer Rosemarie for that reason, itās less connected to Mary which feels quaint/religious/classic to the point of old lady-ness whereas Marie is more youthful.
Imagining Rosemary on a baby now, I think it would be very sweet and cottagecore on a little girl but then has the potential to be quite cool and romantic on an older girl/adult especially with spunky Romy as a nickname. I think of Stellamaris, Mariel, Marinell etc. as evocative and magical so why not Rosemary ādew of the seaā too!

I absolutely love [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] is beautiful (I absolutely loved her for my own daughter but a negative association ruined the name
) honestly I think sheās really stunning. [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] is wholesome, sweet, has wonderful cottagecore imagery and feels so classic. I love that [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] has ties to roses and the sea (definitely some of my favourite things) sheās magical such a wonderful name. I also love the nickname [name_u]Romy[/name_u]!
[name_f]Imagery[/name_f] wise I picture windy days, autumn leaves falling, pebbled beaches, waves crashing against the shore, oversized jumpers, bright green wellies and rosy cheeks. I can see [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] being outdoorsy, sweet, bookish and kind.
[name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] is clunky cute and warm; I imagine someone tending their garden, cosy jumpers, colourful hair scarves, cold, crisp mornings.
I prefer the look of [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] (though I think Iād emphasise the sounds differently to you?)
I love [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]! Itās one of my top 5 names. Here is a moodboard I made for it last week:
The nickname being [name_u]Romy[/name_u] instead of [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] would give it a slightly more sassy, cool-girl kind of energy, a leather jacket with her lace dress instead of a straw sun hat, and maybe lean more towards red and dark brown or black than pink and cream/white.
I slightly prefer [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] to [name_f]Rosemarie[/name_f] but both are on my list. [name_f]Rosemarie[/name_f] is a bit more princessy to me and is exclusively pink without any of the green that [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] has.
[name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] is lovely! It has that cool, vintage feel while also have a nice nature connection. The nn [name_u]Romy[/name_u] is spunky and fun!
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f].
I picture a [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] as slim, intelligent, and competent.
[name_f]Rosemarie[/name_f] is not as appealing to me and I dislike [name_f]Rosa[/name_f] anything.
