My husband and I name our children on the day of their 20 week ultrasound, when we find out the gender. It is their “Name [name]Day[/name]!” My baby’s Name [name]Day[/name] is coming up really soon and we are all set with a boy name ([name]Boaz[/name]), but the girl names are so much harder for us. We have been working on a list for months.
We have a daughter named [name]Rowen[/name] and a son, [name]Colt/name.
This is our current girl list: [name]Ashton[/name], [name]Hadley[/name], [name]Pepper[/name], [name]Paisley[/name], [name]Elowen[/name]. I am not in love with any of them. I feel that [name]Ashton[/name] fits our naming convention best, but [name]Paisley[/name] is our current favorite. What I would really love is some [name]NEW[/name] suggestions; we would like a name with an “o” but I am feeling desperate enough to fall in love with an o-less name. I will also happily take commentary on our existing list.
I love [name]Paisley[/name]! It’s not my naming style but I smile every time I meet a little [name]Paisley[/name] :). You seem to have a more western style so here are some of my suggestions
I think [name]Rowen[/name] and [name]Elowen[/name] are too similar. Same thing for [name]Colton[/name] and [name]Ashton[/name]. I actually like [name]Paisley[/name] the best of your current choices, too! Here are some other possible suggestions:
I’m loving [name]Pepper[/name] from your list. And I love [name]Boaz[/name], too. My DH vetoed it
Other suggestions:
[name]Elodie[/name]
[name]Eleanor[/name]
[name]Enola[/name]
I love [name]Josie[/name]/[name]Josephine[/name]/[name]Jolee[/name]/[name]Joelle[/name], but the husband doesn’t like [name]Jo[/name] names for girls.
[name]Emerson[/name] is a favorite, but it is out too.
I find [name]Honor[/name], [name]Harlow[/name], [name]Oakley[/name], [name]Shiloh[/name], [name]Teagan[/name] ([name]Tegon[/name]?) to be interesting suggestions.
I like [name]Hadley[/name] and [name]Elowen[/name] best on your list. [name]Elowen[/name] might be too close to [name]Rowan[/name] though. Here are some suggestions, sorry if I’m repeating any:
I really like [name]Paisley[/name], actually! I’m a sucker for unisex names, which I know aren’t hugely popular on this site, but I think it fits in best with your kids names. BTW I love the “Name [name]Day[/name]” idea, so cute!
Anyways, I don’t think you want another -en/-on ending name. So here are my suggestions:
[name]Tess[/name]/a
[name]Juniper[/name]
[name]Olive[/name]
[name]Sawyer[/name]
[name]Kai[/name]
[name]Quinn[/name]/[name]Quincy[/name]
