What do you think of this name? Would you use it? [name]Do[/name] you know anyone with the name?
I like it, love [name]Roxy[/name], but altogether I’m not a big big fan of.
I prefer [name]Roxana[/name].
I love the name [name]Roxanne[/name]! I think it has a lot of spunk and it’s own definition even without a nn. I also love this specific spelling with the [name]Anne[/name] at the end. I’ve known 3 girls with the name [name]Roxanne[/name]. Two were co-workers, both friendly, smart and with a lot of spunk. The other [name]Roxanne[/name] is my cousin; she is the sweetest girl that I can always depend on!
I love [name]Roxanne[/name]. I would have used it if I didn’t associate it with my dad’s dog that we had growing up.
It’s really a beautiful, spunky name. I love it.
I have heard of a baby named Roxandra on another baby name forum. I would not recommend using Roxandra, that’s a bit too much for a little girl to bear. [name]Just[/name] remembering.
I like the name but I do consider it dated as all the Roxannes I’ve known would be in their forties and up. I also can’t help but think of the song by Sting about the prostitute named [name]Roxanne[/name]. So while I love the nickname [name]Roxie[/name], I can’t quite get behind the name [name]Roxanne[/name].
[name]Love[/name] [name]Roxana[/name], think it sounds a little fresher than [name]Roxanne[/name]
I wish I liked it but I don’t.
I like [name]Roxie[/name]/[name]Roxy[/name] very much. And I’d like to use an R name for my grandmothers. But [name]Roxanne[/name] itself has a harsh mid-century sound to it, to me. Rather [name]Nadine[/name]/[name]Darleen[/name], actually.
[name]Roxana[/name] is a bit softer and [name]Raquel[/name] is a bit more Hollywood Bombshell.
To be fair, I just find “anne” a very harsh piercing noise in my accent and -ana or -anna far less grating. So it’s always [name]Roxana[/name] over [name]Roxanne[/name], [name]Susannah[/name] over [name]Suzanne[/name], etc. for me.
I think [name]Roxanne[/name] is a nice name, but it reminds me of the song of the same name by the Police. Isn’t it about a prostitute? Anyway, it’s an older song, so not everyone will think of that. Also, my kindergarten teacher’s name was [name]Roxanne[/name], and she was really mean. But, if you love it, go with it!
Good luck!
