Haha! Yeah, not so much… I think the [name_u]French[/name_u] meaning puts me off more because we have [name_u]French[/name_u]-speaking family, and I just can’t imagine my child’s grandfather telling all his friends about his new grandchild, Road
Fair enough! I’d probably feel the same if I had close [name_u]French[/name_u]-speaking family.
Oo I like it! I like R names and this one is sweet. [name_m]Rua[/name_m] [name_m]Phineas[/name_m] is my fave of the suggestions so far but I do think [name_m]Rua[/name_m] [name_u]Peregrine[/name_u] is a fantastic fit with your other kiddos’ names!
I love it! [name_m]Rua[/name_m] is warm, approachable and works for all ages. I like it paired with a longer middle nane. Perhaps use a spectacular middle name, like [name_m]Balthazar[/name_m], [name_m]Melchior[/name_m], [name_m]Joachim[/name_m] or [name_m]Abraham[/name_m]. [name_u]Or[/name_u] a more common one like [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] or [name_m]William[/name_m].
Oh, I love [name_m]Rua[/name_m]! It has that soft, gentle sound I love for boys, and it also feels quite on trend with the love for ‘micro’ names at the moment (be it one syllables or two).
Other than the Irish connection, did you know it’s also the Māori word for two? Which would make it a sweet pick for a second child, or second son. It’s not an overtly Māori name though, so I wouldn’t consider it CA to use it.
Although, because of my understanding of Māori, I pronounce it with a rolled R. E.g.
I like it either way though! It reminds me of the name [name_f]Lua[/name_f] (“moon”, Portuguese) which I love for girls.
Gosh her voice is so soft and relaxing I don’t know why I’m even listening to this but wow it’s wonderful
Haha… It’s from a brilliant album of songs for babies, so I guess it’s supposed to be soothing and relaxing?
That’s funny because just the other day I was thinking Avenue would make a lovely name!
I didn’t, wow that song is so sweet
[name_u]True[/name_u]! I guess it’s romantic in a language other than your own, but a bit weird in your own language!
fair warning: “rua” is portuguese for street.
didn’t read to the end before i posted, sorry!
