Hey guys, super random question. I searched around and couldn’t really find a straight answer to this, but I’m always wondering the origin of [name_u]Ryan[/name_u] vs [name_m]Brian[/name_m]. Are these 2 names related to each other somehow? Like did [name_m]Brian[/name_m] come out first and [name_u]Ryan[/name_u] is a variant from [name_m]Brian[/name_m]? [name_u]Or[/name_u] they have completely 2 different origins, different meaning etc…
Once again, it’s super random I know but I really like the name [name_u]Ryan[/name_u] and just want to do a little research on it before I make any decisions

[name_u]Ryan[/name_u] apparently comes from the [name_u]Irish[/name_u] surname ’ Ó Riain’ and from [name_u]Rian[/name_u]
[name_m]Brian[/name_m] has Celtic and [name_u]Irish[/name_u] origins.
They have separate meanings and seem to have developed separately
