"S" middle name help

We are expecting our second son in a few days. Our first son’s name is [name]Owen[/name], and we plan to name the baby [name]Lewis[/name]. We’d like to use an “S” middle name to honor both grandmothers who have passed away, and our first choice is [name]Samuel[/name]. Is the “s” sound at the end of [name]Lewis[/name] and the beginning of the middle name terrible? Anyone have any other ideas for the middle name?

It doesn’t sound bad, but they definitely blend into one another, sounding more like Lua [name]Samuel[/name] instead of [name]Lewis[/name].
I think you’re going to have that problem with any S name though.

Any S middle is a problem, and you just happen to have chosen names such that reversing doesn’t help - [name]Samuel[/name] [name]Lewis[/name] isn’t much better. Or is it, actually?

[name]Lewis[/name] [name]Gabriel[/name]
[name]Lewis[/name] [name]Raphael[/name]

[name]Lewis[/name] [name]Xavier[/name]
[name]Lewis[/name] [name]Ray[/name] or [name]Raymond[/name]

I do think the final sound of [name]Lewis[/name] and the first sound of [name]Samuel[/name] run together. Maybe a name that begins with “s” that starts with a different sound would be a little better, such as

[name]Sean[/name]
[name]Seamus[/name]
[name]Shane[/name]

Good luck!
