I’ve never seen the appeal of this name before but then one day last week it just clicked that it might be great for a boy. What do you think?

Also, same question about [name_f]Ruby[/name_f], but I know that one for sure has to remain in my imagination.

[name_f]Sage[/name_f] definitely feels completely unisex. The name is a more modern word name therefore doesn’t feel assigned to a particular gender like with [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] which in my opinion leans more feminine. [name_f]Sage[/name_f] is outdoorsy, tranquil with a bohemian spirit. I would probably pair [name_f]Sage[/name_f] with something stronger like [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] or [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] in the middle spot.

I actually knew a guy named [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] back in 5th grade. I think it was a nickname, but I can’t remember what for :thinking:

[name_f]Sage[/name_f] is lovely [name_f][/name_f]- it’s grown on me recently [name_f][/name_f]- warm, playful, and wise, both outdoorsy and studious.

I think [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] for a boy is so cool and bubbly. I’d probably do [name_m]Ruben[/name_m] ‘Ruby’ but still!

I actually prefer it for a boy, though I like it for both!

I think I prefer [name_f]Sage[/name_f] for a boy. I saw a band at a festival and their drummer was/is called [name_f]Sage[/name_f] and it seemed to really suit him. It definitely made me like the name! :blush:

Sage is a lovely choice for a boy - it has a soft, yet strong feel to it.

Ruby does feel more feminine to me, but I think Rudy is really cute and similar!

I love the name [name_f]Sage[/name_f]! It’s one of the few names I consider truly unisex. [name_f]Sage[/name_f] is gentle, strong, peaceful and friendly. I love its meaning associated with wisdom. I also adore its connection to nature.
