Fictional or nonfictional pirate names, what are some of your favorites that bring up thoughts of salt water spray and black flags?
A Song of Ice and [name_m]Fire[/name_m] series has made me fall hopelessly in love with Victarion.

Though I think a lot of the piratey-ness is in the nicknames.
Names like [name_m]Jack[/name_m] and [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] and [name_m]George[/name_m], [name_m]John[/name_m], and [name_m]Ben[/name_m] can just as readily be pirate names paired with the right surname or nickname.
Nicknames are pirate-y. Lol gosh, [name_m]Ferdinand[/name_m] has been a long time favorite, although I never really associated it with salty sea dogs. I might look at it a little differently now.
