I really like both of these as well. And I love [name_u]Sam[/name_u] for a short form for a girl. I voted for [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] though as [name_f]Samantha[/name_f] has been very popular in the recent past decades and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] just feels fresher. However that said, it’s not often you see a little [name_f]Samantha[/name_f] these days and that would be welcome too.

I think [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] has an elegant timelessness, more so than [name_f]Samantha[/name_f] does. But both are perfectly nice names
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f] is prettier but I voted [name_f]Samantha[/name_f] b/c I love the nn [name_u]Sam[/name_u] for a girl, more than [name_u]Jules[/name_u] etc.
I agree with pp that [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] feels a bit fresher than [name_f]Samantha[/name_f], which was popular for girls my age growing up, or before.
No competition, for me, it’s [name_f]Juliet[/name_f].
I definitely prefer [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]! I agree that it feels fresher than [name_f]Samantha[/name_f] and it’s also more elegant in my opinion. Lots of great nickname choices too- [name_u]Jules[/name_u], [name_u]Julie[/name_u], [name_f]Etta[/name_f], [name_f]Ettie[/name_f], [name_u]Jay[/name_u], [name_u]Jet[/name_u]/[name_f]Jette[/name_f], or JJ could work.
[name_f]Samantha[/name_f] seems quite tired. [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] is nice! It may be common on this sight, but I have yet to hear it on toddlers or new babies!
I’ve also voted for [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]- [name_f]Samantha[/name_f] very much feels like a 90s name to me- I knew several Samanthas growing up. Doesn’t feel ready for a comeback yet. I do like the nickname [name_u]Sam[/name_u] for a girl though 
Although I actually prefer the sound of [name_f]Samantha[/name_f], it is quite dated so I voted for [name_f]Juliet[/name_f].

I definitely prefer [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]. I know of both a [name_f]Samantha[/name_f] and a [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]. They are friends actually haha. The [name_f]Samantha[/name_f] I know hates her name and quite frankly so do I. I do not see the appeal. It is really ugly and so is the shortened version [name_u]Sam[/name_u] in my opinion. The [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] I know dislikes her full name but loves her nickname [name_u]Jules[/name_u]. I much prefer [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] as the nn [name_u]Jules[/name_u] is adorable. I love [name_m]Romeo[/name_m] and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] as well so.
