Sapphire?

I’ve been enchanted with the name [name_f]Sapphire[/name_f] for as long as I can remember - I’ve always loved it.

I’ve personally known 3, all of whom have been lovely people. It’s my favourite gemstone as well (despite not being my birth stone).

I doubt S/O would ever agree to it as a first name, as it’s pretty bold compared to the rest of our list (save Toyah and [name_f]Ffion[/name_f]), but do you think [name_f]Sapphire[/name_f] can work as a middle name?

Thank you!

Sure! It’s lovely and has tons of personality!

Definitely! It’s bright and lovely. Shame you can’t use it as a first name, but it would be a nice middle. [name_m]Just[/name_m] using a couple of the names from your user card, [name_f]Danielle[/name_f] [name_f]Sapphire[/name_f] and [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f] [name_f]Sapphire[/name_f] jump out to me as nice combos. I like the variatiom [name_f]Sapphira[/name_f] too.

@voughtlori - Thank you! That’s one of the reasons why I love it

@floatinthesky - Thanks! I might be able to use it as a first, but S/O is pretty traditional (then again, he loves [name_f]Rhiannon[/name_f] and [name_f]Bethan[/name_f], so he miiiight be ok?). I love [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f] [name_f]Sapphire[/name_f] and [name_f]Danielle[/name_f] [name_f]Sapphire[/name_f]! [name_f]Sapphira[/name_f] is really nice as well, he might be more open to that because it’s a biblical name.

Absolutely! I knew two Sapphires in high school. I definitely think the name can work, and it has a beautiful association with the gemstone!

Like both [name_f]Sapphire[/name_f] and [name_f]Sapphira[/name_f], but [name_f]Amethyst[/name_f] is something I prefer. [name_f]My[/name_f] birthstone is [name_f]Sapphire[/name_f]…

I think it’s a beautiful name! I think you would also like [name_f]Sapphira[/name_f] it’s a name from the Bible that means sapphire!

I think [name_f]Sapphire[/name_f] would make an amazing middle name! It’s bright, lively, has a great sound, and would be pleasantly unexpected, imo. I’m a fan!

I think [name_f]Sapphire[/name_f] is great as a middle name. As a first name I prefer [name_f]Sapphira[/name_f]/Safira because for some reason it feels a little “name-ier” but I think I like [name_f]Sapphire[/name_f] than [name_f]Sapphira[/name_f] better in the middle! I’ve had a similar soft spot for [name_f]Opal[/name_f]/Opaline (husband is not a fan!).

I like [name_f]Sapphire[/name_f]! I’ve never met a person named [name_f]Sapphire[/name_f], and my only association with it as a name was a male character in a book, but I think it’s lovely. I do slightly prefer [name_f]Sapphira[/name_f], but not by a lot.

Yes, it’s really cool.
I’ve also known girls named “[name_f]Sapir[/name_f]” (sah-PEER), meaning sapphire.

Sapphire is acceptable if the girl is born in september.

Thanks everyone!! Surprisingly, S/O likes it as a middle too (and said it was “ok” as a first, but not his favourite LOL) so I think [name_f]Sapphire[/name_f] might be a good pick for us!!

@qwertyuiopasdfghjklz - Actually, my best friend was born in [name_f]September[/name_f], so I was thinking it could be an honour name for her if I went with it.
