I prefer Sarah, I think! It’s the spelling I’d expect in an English-speaking context.
Sadie might be a bit more unexpected since it’s rather established as a name of its own, but I think Sally could work! For other nicknames, maybe Sasha, Ari, or Essie (from the S initial)?
Sarah is very versatile so I think anything works! I’d personally prefer something longer and more out-there since Sarah is a very traditional choice, but that’s just my own style. I’d go for something sweet like Sarah Marigold, Sarah Louella, etc. or something romantic like Sarah Paloma, Sarah Violetta, and Sarah Isadora.
There’s nothing wrong with it, it’s just not really my cup of tea - just because I know quite a lot of Sarahs so it doesn’t feel very sparkly to me. I wouldn’t say that I dislike it, I just don’t care for it. But I can definitely see the appeal of a classic choice!
I think they work! I do think many people will not realize the connection since both are fairly established as names on their own at this point. But I totally think you can use them. I like the above suggestions, especially [name_u]Sasha[/name_u]. Other ideas could be [name_f]Sisi[/name_f], Sar, [name_u]Sal[/name_u], or [name_f]Sarita[/name_f].
Personally I really like it! [name_m]Classic[/name_m] and sweet and strong. I like how it suits any age and personality. It also feels fresh and unexpected for a current baby. I would be thrilled to meet a little girl called [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] in 2023!
Sarah I just prefer this spelling as it’s the one I visualise in my head
I think I would just assume she’s called Sarah with most people being surprised if Sally was indeed Sarah or Sadie is indeed Sarah still I don’t think it’s too stretchy. I personally wouldn’t choose nicknames for Sarah I think that’s a beauty of a name like Sarah she’s straightforward, simple and classic.
I think it depends whether you’d go really classic something like Margaret, Elizabeth, Juliet or Caroline they’d be incredibly timeless and very gorgeous. Or you could go something bold, unexpected with a whimsical edge like Daylily, Larkspur, Indigo or Marigold.
Sarah is gorgeous! I would love to see Sarah in the limelight being used on a baby nowadays
I prefer [name_f]Sara[/name_f], although [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] is nice. [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] to me feels way more homely and common, while [name_f]Sara[/name_f] has somewhat more of a spark and an international, “it girl” edge to me.
I do think both of these could work for Sara(h)! I don’t personally think Sara(h) has many intuitive nicknames since it’s such a short name on its own, although [name_f]Sally[/name_f] and [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] aren’t too far-fetched.
Literally almost anything I think. It really depends on your style. I’d be inclined to pair it with a more uncommon, eye-catching name myself to make the combo really stand out, since Sara(h) has been a very common first name.
If you asked between thirty to ten years ago, I’d probably say “ugh, boring and overdone” just because it feels like I grew up with a zillion Sarahs (only one [name_f]Sara[/name_f] though coincidentally). However, nowadays I wouldn’t say the same - it’s actually a little bit more unexpected. I find both versions very sweet, solid, and traditional. I think it’s easy for me and my generation (millennials) to interpret them as “boring” names due to their ubiquity, but they also feel slightly refreshing now amidst the sea of 2023 trending names.
[name_f]Sara[/name_f] and [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] are two different names to me. [name_f]Sara[/name_f] is sar and [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] is sair. So for the pronunciation to be correct for me I’d go for [name_f]Sarah[/name_f].
I don’t think any nicknames feel intuitive for [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] as it’s already a short name but I think [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] works better than [name_f]Sally[/name_f]. [name_f]Essie[/name_f] is cute as well!
It’s a classic name that’s had steady usage for what feels like forever, it’s a sweet name that isn’t frilly but has such a feminine flair to it.
It is a fantastic name that is underappreciated at the moment, and I’d love to see more people use it.
Both spellings are great. Depends on personal preference. I like [name_f]Sarah[/name_f].
Would love to see people use either nickname. I think they both work splendidly nowadays. [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] is a hot name on its own, and Sally’s coming back.
I love [name_f]Sarah[/name_f], and she isn’t common at the moment
[name_f]Sara[/name_f] rhymes with [name_f]Lara[/name_f] to me, so I would choose [name_f]Sarah[/name_f].
You really don’t need a nickname for her. [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] is simple enough to say. I would only use a nickname for longer names.
Go for something a little more unusual for her middle name, like
I prefer the [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] spelling.
I think [name_f]Sally[/name_f] and [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] both work.

I love it! Its a gorgeous, timless classic that is currently a bit underused for new babies and I would be delighted to meet a little [name_f]Sarah[/name_f].
