I saw this gorgeous name in somebody’s signature and I have been unable to shake it off. I really love it. I had never encountered this name before and I’m completely in love with it. [name_m]Even[/name_m] my husband likes it!
If one (or more) of these twins are girls I think [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] could become a real contender.
For g/g I like [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] and [name_f]Aoife[/name_f], [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] and [name_f]Eulalie[/name_f]/[name_f]Eulalia[/name_f], [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] and [name_f]Bryony[/name_f]. For g/b I like [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] and [name_m]Finbar[/name_m] and [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] and [name_m]Wilder[/name_m].
I would love to know people’s thoughts of [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] and also some of my combo ideas. Good or bad. Also, feel free to leave any suggestions for combinations with [name_f]Saskia[/name_f].
I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Saskia[/name_f]. It’s one of my top 3 names for a girl. [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] and [name_f]Aoife[/name_f] make a wonderful sibset and from your signature I also love [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] and [name_f]Freya[/name_f] (which is in my top 3) and [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] and [name_u]Jude[/name_u] (my top 1 boy name). [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] and [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] give off a nature vibe for me because I always think of snow/[name_f]Alaska[/name_f] when I think of [name_f]Saskia[/name_f].
It’s in my signature, I love it. It apparently means [name_m]Saxon[/name_m] woman, and the name of the Saxons seems to derive from their word for “knife”, so it’s like “knife wielding woman”. Badass meaning for a sweet name, right?
[name_f]Saskia[/name_f] & [name_f]Aoife[/name_f] and [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] & [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] are my favorite combos from the ones you suggested
Other sibling combinations:
[name_f]Saskia[/name_f] & [name_f]Maude[/name_f]
[name_f]Saskia[/name_f] & [name_f]Greer[/name_f] (I see you have [name_f]Grier[/name_f] among your likes)
[name_f]Saskia[/name_f] & [name_f]Saoirse[/name_f]
[name_f]Saskia[/name_f] & [name_f]Annika[/name_f]
[name_f]Saskia[/name_f] & [name_u]Marion[/name_u]
[name_f]Saskia[/name_f] & [name_f]Muireann[/name_f]
I adore [name_f]Saskia[/name_f]. It’s sophisticated, feminine and fresh. I discovered when [name_f]Tammy[/name_f] Hembrow (fitness Instagrammer) named her daughter [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. His son is [name_m]Wolf[/name_m] which to me, make a really sweet sibset. I used to have it in my signature as a combo, [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]. Good luck with this gorgeous name!
I must be in the minority but I really dislike [name_f]Saskia[/name_f]. There is something about the “sas” part that bugs me. It also sounds similar to the verb “suck” in one of the languages I speak, so maybe that’s the reason why I can’t love it.
Among your suggestions, the combos that work the best are [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] & [name_f]Eulalie[/name_f] and [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] & [name_m]Wilder[/name_m].
[name_f]Saskia[/name_f] is sweet, sassy and fabulous! DH actually has a little cousin called [name_f]Saskia[/name_f], who is all those things in abundance. I just love the name!
[name_f]Saskia[/name_f] and [name_f]Bryony[/name_f] or [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] and [name_f]Eulalie[/name_f] would be my choice for girls. I love that they’re very different in sound but have the same length and spunky feel to them. [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] and [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] would be especially wonderful for g/b twins.
[name_f]Saskia[/name_f] is such an awesome name! I have a really fun-loving, out-there, yet kind and considerate friend called [name_f]Saskia[/name_f], and the name suits her really well. I love [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] and [name_f]Eulalie[/name_f] or [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] and [name_f]Aoife[/name_f] together. [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] and [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] are cute too.
[name_f]Saskia[/name_f] is classy… spunky?.. lovely and every other nice adjective I could think of: - that is my feedback from floating the same question as you are early in the year. The name was actually to rename myself (@31) due to trauma.
I did not use it for personal reasons so I would love to see all the compliments I received passed on to you for your daughter. There were quite a few said that it’s either ‘near or top’ of my list. Best wishes with the love of your new discovery.
I really like [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] and [name_f]Freya[/name_f] as suggested by previous poster.
[name_f]Saskia[/name_f] and [name_f]Anouk[/name_f]
[name_f]Saskia[/name_f] and [name_m]Linus[/name_m]
[name_f]Saskia[/name_f] and [name_m]Aksel[/name_m]
[name_f]Saskia[/name_f] and [name_u]Rafe[/name_u]
[name_f]Saskia[/name_f] is a gorgeous name! I really love it and wish it was used more often. [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] and [name_f]Bryony[/name_f] make a spectacular sibset! I also love [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] and [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] together.
I absolutely [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] the name [name_f]Saskia[/name_f]. It’s very unique, but also easy to pronounce and very feminine. However, it is also a very ethnically Dutch name, so unless your family is half Irish and half Dutch, it might be a little bit strange to give one child a very Irish name and call the other [name_f]Saskia[/name_f].
I have a little [name_f]Saskia[/name_f]. Needless to say, I love the name; we have no regrets – people find it easy to pronounce and remember. (We pronounce it SAH-skia.) I think it will also transition well from childhood to adulthood, which you can’t say about every name. You can see her mn and our sibset in my siggy.
