All - we’re not telling our family/friends the name of our daughter but I wanted to vet it through strangers (oddly enough). [name_u]Baby[/name_u] is due in [name_f]May[/name_f] so we still have some time but we are pretty much set on:
Let me know your honest thoughts/opinions. I was a bit hesitant at first because my husband was 100% dead set on this name and I wanted to explore other options but after a few months this has become my top name as well.
Middle name needs to be a “J” name, and the only other one I’m considering is [name_f]Joy[/name_f].
I think it’s lovely. The slightly more modern and unusual [name_f]Savannah[/name_f] pairs beautifully with classic and elegant [name_f]Jane[/name_f]. The whole name flows nicely both with and without the middle name. I much prefer [name_f]Jane[/name_f] to [name_f]Joy[/name_f].
[name_f]Savannah[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_m]Graham[/name_m] is beautiful!
I love it! It flows really well (better than [name_f]Joy[/name_f] in my opinion) and will age well as well. I don’t think it is very popular either so it’s a winner all around
[name_f]Savannah[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] gorgeous however [name_f]Savannah[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] is beautiful as well so I don’t which I would choose!
While [name_f]Savannah[/name_f] is not my style, I think [name_f]Savannah[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_m]Graham[/name_m] works really well together. I love [name_f]Jane[/name_f] in the middle and much prefer it over [name_f]Joy[/name_f].
[name_f]Savannah[/name_f] is not my style, but I think it flows well with either [name_f]Jane[/name_f] or [name_f]Joy[/name_f] and works fine with your last name.
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you pronounce your last name ‘[name_u]Gray[/name_u]-um’, ‘Graym’ or ‘[name_m]Gram[/name_m]’ (or some other way)? If one of the first 2 options, I’d probably prefer [name_f]Joy[/name_f] over [name_f]Jane[/name_f] as a middle (j[name_f]AYn[/name_f] grAY(e/u)m is a bit repetitive to me). If you pronounce it ‘[name_m]Gram[/name_m]’, I think either middle name works. I like how straightforward [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is - as others have said, it complements the modern, slightly more elaborate feel of [name_f]Savannah[/name_f].
We pronounce it “[name_m]Gram[/name_m]”, so I think either MN will work.
Thanks for all your feedback everyone! Definitely helps me feel good about our decision. I think we will end up going with [name_f]Jane[/name_f] as the MN. It also sounds more like “[name_m]Jacob[/name_m]”, my brother who passed away who we are honoring with the initial J.
