Okay, give me your honest opinion on this. I saw someone on instagram with a little girl. Her hashtag said #savy. I thought it was pronounced [name_m]Say[/name_m]-Vee. I. Fell. In. [name_u]Love[/name_u]. With. It. Come to find out, it’s Savvy a nn for [name_f]Savannah[/name_f]. Is Savy even a name? Have you heard of it before? Does Savy [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] sound good? Help!
I would keep looking.
Personal opinion: Would be super cute as a nickname but otherwise feels like a made-up twist on the word “savvy” (and might often be mispronounced as such). I like it slightly better spelled Savie, and I think that makes the pronunciation clearer.
There are some names with similar sounds…[name_f]Sadie[/name_f], [name_f]Zadie[/name_f], [name_u]Navy[/name_u]…
I really dislike it.
Pronounced like navy? I don’t like it to be honest, but maybe [name_f]Sadie[/name_f]? It’s only one letter off but sounds 100 times better.
I think Miss [name_u]America[/name_u] this year was named Savvy. I wondered if it was short for [name_f]Savannah[/name_f] or maybe just a southern thing. I think it’s cute as a nickname.
I knew a girl in primary school who’s name was [name_f]Savannah[/name_f] and she went by Savvy. Or how about [name_f]Sana[/name_f] (I love this and this would be the nickname I would use:)), [name_f]Vanna[/name_f]/Vannah or even [name_f]Ava[/name_f] (a stretch but it woks).
