I love this name for a boy but it is becoming so popular for a girl. I am worried that when I am ready to name my boy [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] that it will be seen mainly as a girl name and will sound silly on a boy. I am also worried that he might get made fun of. Thoughts?? Also what do you think of the full name [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] [name_u]Blake[/name_u]. I also love [name_u]Blake[/name_u] for a boy but do you think two unisex names is weird or tacky??
I like this combo! It screams “BOY!” to me. I can’t imagine either name on a girl. I don’t think he would get made fun of for his name.
I don’t see either of those names as unisex. They’re boy’s names, and I quite like them together.
And I just double-checked the SSA stats, and Sawyer for a boy has been going up in popularity the past several years. It’s far more popular for boys than girls.
I honestly think it depends on where you live. In my area both names are hugely unisex.
To me, both names are definitely boys names. I like both names and think they make a great combo!
Thanks for the input! This makes me feel more confident in using this name! Thanks again!
[name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] [name_u]Blake[/name_u] sounds great! And very masculine. I much prefer [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] or a boy.
I have also been thinking of [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] for a boy, and was also worried about it being unisex. However, the name [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] means “woodcutter” which I think is very boy, and I just think [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] sounds boy. I think [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] [name_u]Blake[/name_u] sounds great
