Saxon Aryia or Iris Elyse for a sister for Vayda?

I know [name_m]Saxon[/name_m] is very non traditional and most people are not a fan, but I think it’s perfect as a sister to [name_f]Vayda[/name_f] [name_f]Quinn[/name_f]. Also keeping [name_f]Iris[/name_f] on the list, maybe [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Elyse[/name_f]. I also like [name_m]Saxon[/name_m] [name_f]Elyse[/name_f]. What do you think?

I like [name_f]Iris[/name_f] better. If I saw [name_f]Vayda[/name_f] and [name_m]Saxon[/name_m] written down together I would probably assume [name_m]Saxon[/name_m] was a brother since that leans masculine to me and [name_f]Vayda[/name_f] is very clearly feminine.

I think [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Elyse[/name_f] in this instance.

I like [name_m]Saxon[/name_m] [name_f]Aryia[/name_f]

[name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Elyse[/name_f] is beautiful! I love the name [name_f]Iris[/name_f]. It’s timeless and international. [name_f]Elyse[/name_f] is a lovely name. It makes me think about the literature, flowers and [name_f]Paris[/name_f] (perhaps because of the Champs-Élysées / [name_m]Elysian[/name_m] Fields). [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Elyse[/name_f] is sweet, colorful and poetic. I think Vayd@ and [name_f]Iris[/name_f] sound good together!

I agree with @sammaegre that [name_m]Saxon[/name_m] sounds very masculine, especially next to Vayd@. I’m also not crazy about [name_f]Aryia[/name_f].

Would you consider [name_f]Saffron[/name_f]? I think it would be unique and feminine. [name_f]Saffron[/name_f] would sound good with [name_f]Elyse[/name_f] and feel balanced in a sibset with V@yda Qu!nn.

I’m actually a big admirer of the name [name_m]Saxon[/name_m], but for me it’s strictly masculine, so I don’t see it working for a little girl. So my vote goes to the gorgeous [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Elyse[/name_f].

I love [name_f]Vayda[/name_f] [name_f]Quinn[/name_f] and [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Elyse[/name_f] together. That is honestly a perfect sibling set.

[name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Elyse[/name_f].

I much prefer iris elyse so much more prettier and classic sounding .

[name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Elyse[/name_f] is showstopping !

I went to uni with someone called [name_m]Saxon[/name_m]! It suited her well and it didn’t seem odd once you’d met her. I think it sounds cool with [name_f]Vayda[/name_f]

[name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Elyse[/name_f] is lovely too - sharp, bright and distinctive

Must suggest Saskia…

Of the two, I would choose the strong and pretty Iris Elyse though I usually wouldn’t go for the double S ending name. I like Saxon but I knew a boy Saxon growing up and he did get some puerile and silly comments (eg whether his last name was “the beach” etc). I think it’d be a pretty hard name to wear for a young person especially a girl, for the latter, because people will assume boy and because of the word Sax.

Out of interest, is Ariya “Aree-a” or the same as Aria (the operatic song)? Either way, I might choose Saxon Elyse to soften Saxon but would almost certainly myself choose another name - like Saffron or Saskia as suggested or else Sloane, Suzette, Inès, Paloma, Cosima (or even Cosmina), Morgana, Asta/Esther, Rani, Lumi, Juno, Nixie or Elodia.

[name_f]Iris[/name_f]! With [name_m]Saxon[/name_m] I just can’t escape the math curriculum association

[name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Elyse[/name_f] has a lot of S sounds but it’s lovely.

[name_m]Saxon[/name_m] is a little too masculine but I love [name_f]Aryia[/name_f].

In general I actually prefer [name_m]Saxon[/name_m] a lot more, I don’t feel [name_f]Iris[/name_f] matches [name_f]Vayda[/name_f] very well. But [name_m]Saxon[/name_m] [name_f]Aryia[/name_f] feel very… Anglo-Saxon. [name_m]Saxon[/name_m] for obvious reason and then you through in [name_f]Aryia[/name_f] and it’s so similar to [name_m]Aryan[/name_m] I’d genuinely assume you’d have another agenda in picking both those names at first glance. I’d say keep [name_m]Saxon[/name_m] or keep [name_f]Aryia[/name_f] cause I like them both individually better with [name_f]Vayda[/name_f] than [name_f]Iris[/name_f], but change out the middle names

What about [name_f]Saxon[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f]? [name_f]Or[/name_f] what about changing the spelling to Saxyn to give it a more feminine feel? I am just worried that [name_f]Iris[/name_f] is a lot more popular than [name_f]Vayda[/name_f].

What about [name_f]Saxon[/name_f] [name_f]Elyse[/name_f] or [name_f]Saxon[/name_f] Iris…def not wanting anyone to think there is a hidden agenda other than naming a beautiful little girl.

I prefer [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Elyse[/name_f].

Honestly I don’t think changing a letter makes a name feel more feminine, it’s still the same name just harder to spell. I like the sleekness [name_f]Saxon[/name_f] has. I do agree [name_f]Iris[/name_f] is more common than [name_f]Vayda[/name_f] but since it’s a middle map name I think it’d be fine, maybe you’d like [name_m]Irie[/name_m] though?

I think [name_f]Saxon[/name_f] [name_f]Elyse[/name_f] is really pretty! [name_f]Saxon[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] is nice too but sounds a tad choppy to me. Some random suggestions if you are open/want some~

[name_f]Saxon[/name_f] Aleah/Alia (could be a good compromise with [name_f]Elyse[/name_f] and [name_f]Aryia[/name_f], [name_f]Elia[/name_f] is also an option)
