We are in a fix and need some input on these two names. We love scarlett but we think our new born looks like a grace. [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] was always on the top of the list while grace was just a filler name so we are not sure which way to go! We are going to use marie in there regardless and also want to use grace too just not sure if it should be the main name??? So which one do you like best and why?
I always disliked the name [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] b/c to me, it always sounded so harsh, maybe b/c the word scar in the beginning? I don’t know. I like [name_f]Grace[/name_f] better of course, but adding one syllable may make it sound and look better if [name_f]Marie[/name_f] is the middle name:

I like [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]-[name_f]Marie[/name_f]! Plus, if [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] has been on the top of the list for a long time, you probably won’t have any regrets long term!

[name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] sounds less awkward than [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]-[name_f]Marie[/name_f] but I much prefer [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] as a first name. It’s spunky and dramatic. Would you consider [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] (two middle names)? I think it flows really nicely that way.
So hard! I love [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f]. If you are going to call her [name_f]Grace[/name_f], then I would definitely use [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f]. However, will you regret it? I didn’t think my daughter looked like her name at first. I mean, they will look completely different in 2 weeks. Go with the name you connect with.
Yes we love both its so hard but our baby girl needs a name asap. I like grace but as I say it was never in the top of our list.
What do you guys think is more unusual? Also I have read that grace is kinda boring what you all think?

I don’t think [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is boring at all. I do know a couple Graces’ but I still think it is a pretty name and most go by [name_f]Gracie[/name_f]. If you think she is a [name_f]Grace[/name_f] than name her [name_f]Grace[/name_f] and you could possibly use [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] somewhere else down the line.
I love both names. I think you should choose what feels right to you.
I always thing “grease” when I see [name_f]Grace[/name_f]. Its just one of those things. I prefer [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]. Its so dramatic.
I can’t stand the name [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]! I never heard of anyone liking this name until coming on nameberry. It just sounds so harsh and nasty to me when I hear it…I think of [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] letter and what not…yuck. Anyway, sorry to be mean…but [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is soooo sweet and beautiful just seems so much more suited for a new baby. But obviously this is just my own personal taste.
