Scout for a girl?

I’m currently crushing on the name Scout. I think it’s cute on its own but what would you suggest as a full name (with the exception of Scarlett and Jean Louise haha)?
What are your thoughts on Scout for a girl? It seems to be pretty unpopular but I still can’t help but like it.

I think [name_u]Scout[/name_u] on a girl is adorable! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: It’s such a lovely name for a little girl, and I think it stands well on its own as a full name!

I don’t really see it as a full name, but it’s cute for a nickname. I like it as a nickname for [name_f]Scotia[/name_f]

I think it’s such a spunky name! I know two Scouts: one is 5 or 6, the other is 18. I definitely see it as a wearable name for a girl and think it would fit in with the wide array of names used on children these days.

[name_u]Scout[/name_u] is a wonderful name! Full of fun and feistiness, cute but characterful.

Maybe [name_u]Scotland[/name_u] or [name_u]Scottie[/name_u] as a full name? Although I much prefer [name_u]Scout[/name_u] on its own to either.

I love Scout for a girl! I think of it as only a girls name, really, because of miss Jean Louise. I never thought of it as a nickname for Scarlett, but I absolutely love that. :heart_eyes:

I love [name_u]Scout[/name_u] on a girl! I actually knew of 2 girls with this name in college, one who I know it was her middle name that she just went by, but both wore it really well so I can totally see it aging fine!

I absolutely adore [name_u]Scout[/name_u]! [name_m]Sharp[/name_m], rugged but sweet!!! [name_u]Scout[/name_u] works as a stand alone to me and I’d love to meet one!

I think [name_u]Scout[/name_u] could be a nickname for most girls names -kind of like a general nickname like lovey or princess.

That said, i think it could also work for:

Scotland/Scotlyn
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f] Cosette/Seren Colette/Susannah [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]

thanks to jean louise, scout is one of my favorite names. in all honesty, you could use it as a nn for almost anything – but I’ll second the suggestions of scotia and sophie. it could also work with schuyler or something like charlotte.

I love scout and I think it definitely can stand on its own! I think any s name would lean itself to scout as a nickname if desired!

I have a [name_u]Scout[/name_u], so obviously I think it works great.

We get tons of compliments on it and it suits her completely. I was originally somewhat concerned about how it would age but I have zero concerns about that now after seeing it in real life.

i follow a girl on tik tok who has twin girls named violet and scout! i think that made me really like scout! she’s adorable and wears it well on its own so I’d say it doesn’t necessarily need a “full name” unless of course you wanted one!
