Seamus

What do you guys think? (Again, not expecting…just thinking.)

I love it! But that’s my Irish heritage seeping through

But I do think that it has a satisfying, soft sound, and while it is handsome and unusual outside of [name]Ireland[/name], everyone knows how to pronounce it. It’s a great alternative to the equally handsome but popular [name]James[/name], in my opinion.

I adore it. I think it only works with an Irish or Scottish or generic last name. And of course, it has that lovely [name]Harry[/name] [name]Potter[/name] association going on.

I [name]LOVE[/name] it so handsome yet underused.

Thanks for responding, everyone. I like it too, but some people have told me that it sounds too much like “shame us” to give it to a baby. Does anyone share this association?

I never thought of that! I suppose it depends how common it is where you live et cetera - there is a large Irish part to my family, and so I’ve grown up knowing lots of little Seamuses, so I’ve never really thought about it.

(I still like it  )
