Ok here’s my dilemma! I love the name [name_f]Selena[/name_f] and [name_f]Selene[/name_f] they both mean the moon/moon goddess, super pretty! But I’m not sure which one to go with… I feel like I love [name_f]Selena[/name_f] a little more but I also think it’s a little too “Selena Gomez” (I do like her though) I just worry that’s all people will think about. [name_f]Selene[/name_f] is really pretty too though (you could also say [name_f]Selene[/name_f] is like [name_f]Celine[/name_f] [name_m]Dion[/name_m] but different spelling so I don’t associate that as much)… not sure which to pick! Thoughts?
Could also do [name_f]Celina[/name_f] but maybe [name_f]Selena[/name_f] spelling is prettier? Confused!
I love them both!
I don’t think [name_f]Selena[/name_f] is too [name_f]Selena[/name_f] Gomez, and espcially if you like her, it wouldn’t bother me!
[name_f]Selene[/name_f] is also lovely, but I tend to prefer it in the middle spot rather than a first
I prefer [name_f]Selena[/name_f]
I prefer [name_f]Selena[/name_f]. I do think it is still very strongly associated with Gomez, but that’s not really a bad thing if you don’t mind.
Of the two, I prefer [name_f]Selena[/name_f]. When I hear it, I don’t think of Gomez, but I do think of [name_f]Selena[/name_f] Quintanilla-Pérez.
I prefer [name_f]Selena[/name_f].
I prefer the sound of [name_f]Selene[/name_f]
I love Selena! & I too, think of our beloved Tejano Superstar
I really like the sleek feeling of just “Selene.” It also feels more uncommon to me than [name_f]Selena[/name_f].
I prefer the flow of [name_f]Selena[/name_f]
I prefer how [name_f]Selena[/name_f] sounds over [name_f]Selene[/name_f], and I love the nn of [name_f]Lena[/name_f]. I don’t think it’s too [name_f]Selena[/name_f] Gomez at all, it has been used so widely that it isn’t a one-girl name on the level that, say, [name_f]Rihanna[/name_f] is.
i prefer selene, but i don’t think selena is too selena gomez
I prefer [name_f]Selene[/name_f]. I definitely associate [name_f]Selena[/name_f] with [name_f]Selena[/name_f] Gomez for nostalgia reasons, but I don’t think it’s too Gomez.
I find [name_f]Selene[/name_f] more appealing.
Team [name_f]Selene[/name_f]!
Oh I adore both so much. [name_f]My[/name_f] first associations for [name_f]Selena[/name_f] are [name_f]Selena[/name_f] Quintanilla-Pérez and [name_f]Selina[/name_f] [name_u]Kyle[/name_u] (Catwoman, [name_f]Selina[/name_f] could also be another spelling option of you wanted!), [name_f]Selena[/name_f] Gomez is definitely not too much of an association. I also adore [name_f]Selene[/name_f] so much, they’re both pretty tied for me, they give me different vibes though. [name_f]Selena[/name_f] makes me think of [name_f]Selena[/name_f] Quintanilla-Pérez first so it feels very lively and fun and warm to me, [name_f]Selene[/name_f] makes me think of the goddess so it feels very elegant and mysterious and regal to me. You can’t really go wrong, they’re both gorgeous!
I like both names, though somewhat prefer [name_f]Selena[/name_f]. I don’t think it’s too [name_f]Selena[/name_f] Gomez. It was a familiar name before she became famous. I know a [name_f]Selina[/name_f] (have you considered that spelling?) who was born in the '80s.
