Semi-last-minute attitude change...HELP!

So, in case you haven’t seen my other posts, I’m (very) pregnant with G/G identical twins due on [name]December[/name] 24. Our last name is [name]Collins[/name].

We want [name]Christmas[/name] or winter-y middle names, and vintage/bohemian first names…Is that too much to ask?

Anyway, me and hubby had originally decided on [name]Clara[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Collins[/name] & [name]Eloise[/name] [name]Mary[/name] [name]Collins[/name]. After resting on it for a few weeks, and trying the Starbucks test, we’ve changed our minds a bit. We love the combo [name]Clara[/name] [name]Josephine[/name], but don’t like the sound of [name]Clara[/name] [name]Collins[/name]. We love [name]Eloise[/name], but don’t love it with [name]Mary[/name].

So, I looked back at my old post and looked at all the suggestions. I really loved these combos:

[name]Iris[/name] & [name]Matilda[/name]
[name]Matilda[/name] (nn [name]Tilly[/name]?) & [name]Eleanor[/name] (nn [name]Nora[/name]?)
[name]Norah[/name] & [name]Clara[/name]

MNs we like:

[name]Natalie[/name] or [name]Natalia[/name]
[name]Eve[/name], [name]Eva[/name], or [name]Evangeline[/name] (they will be born on [name]Christmas[/name] eve!)

…and possibly others, too!

So Berries, what are your favorite fn combos? And what are your favorite fn/mn combos? Please help! The relatives are bugging us, and we want to know before Thanksgiving!

I think [name]Norah[/name] would be a good replacement for [name]Clara[/name]. [name]Norah[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]. I like [name]Eloise[/name] very much. I would do [name]Eloise[/name] [name]Natalia[/name]

I second [name]Eloise[/name] [name]Natalia[/name]. I think [name]Clara[/name] [name]Collins[/name] is actually adorable. but if you’re not sure about it, [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Noelle[/name] is really cute or [name]Iris[/name] [name]Evangeline[/name].

[name]Matilda[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Evangeline[/name] (hey, ee cummings didn’t have a problem with his initials)

[name]Holly[/name] and [name]Ivy[/name] could be pretty cute as mns… [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Holly[/name], [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Ivy[/name]. I love that [name]Christmas[/name] carol!

[name]Nora[/name] [name]Marion[/name] (no h in [name]Nora[/name], [name]Marion[/name] instead of [name]Mary[/name])
[name]Clara[/name] [name]Noelle[/name]

I like [name]Norah[/name] and [name]Eloise[/name] together. I also like [name]Eloise[/name] [name]Natalia[/name].

I really dislike [name]Snow[/name] and [name]Winter[/name] and don’t consider them names.

[name]Eloise[/name] [name]Mary[/name] [name]Collins[/name] sounds really good to me and looks the name of a famous author or playwright to me.

I like both of your original choices for first names [name]Eloise[/name] and [name]Clara[/name] are cute but I can see what you mean about [name]Clara[/name] [name]Collins[/name]. Since you like [name]Norah[/name] I would use that instead of [name]Clara[/name].
[name]Norah[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] & [name]Eloise[/name] [name]Belle[/name]
[name]Norah[/name] [name]Evangeline[/name] & [name]Eloise[/name] [name]Eve[/name]
[name]Norah[/name] [name]Eve[/name] & [name]Eloise[/name] [name]Noelle[/name]
[name]Iris[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] & [name]Eloise[/name] [name]Belle[/name]
[name]Iris[/name] [name]Evangeline[/name] & [name]Eloise[/name] [name]Eve[/name]
[name]Iris[/name] [name]Eve[/name] & [name]Eloise[/name] [name]Noelle[/name]

I think name combos sound the best when the first and middle names have different syllables so I would experiment with that.

I think [name]Matilda[/name] and [name]Eleanor[/name] flow the best with your surname. Perhaps [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Snow[/name] and [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Winter[/name]?

I adore [name]Clara[/name] and [name]Eloise[/name]! Stick with that!

Here are a few of my ideas

Eva Snow or Eva Winter and sister Noelle Star, ie Eva and Noelle

I am trying to work out what feel you want ie feminine - trendy vintage Eloise, fiesty vintage Eliza, sweet vintage - Louise, trendy and jolly vintage - Matilda.

Eleanor/a has been super popular for quite a few years and now the nn of Nora is becoming popular too. I feel that Eleanor is past its peak as it has been around here on nameberry for years, and while still a solid vintage choice for me it is a bit dated. I prefer Eloise and Ellen.

I think Scarlett is a terrific name for a Christmas baby so can we use it in the mn spot?

Eg Ellen Scarlett and Amelia Dove nn Nell and Milly

I think twins named Clara and Josephine would be perfectly matched, combo Clara Eve and Josephine Ivy

Eloise and Matilda, Eloise Mary and Matilda Joy nn’s Lola and Tilly

Eliza Winter and Scarlett Josephine both fiesty style names

Iris Winter and Ellen Mary
Susanna Mary and Clara Snow
Rosalind Joy and Alice Noelle
Eliza Winter and Matilda Scarlett
Eloise Star and Norah Skye

I like [name]Matilda[/name] and [name]Norah[/name]. [name]Tilly[/name] (nn) and [name]Norah[/name] make a sweet twin set name. I also love the name [name]Noelle[/name]. Not sure if you like that name-but it’s perfect for a [name]December[/name] baby. Congrats and good luck!

[name]Clara[/name] and [name]Eloise[/name] are lovely together but I’m with you on not liking the sound of [name]Clara[/name] [name]Collins[/name].

[name]Matilda[/name] and [name]Eleanor[/name] is the stand out twin combo for me and both sound lovely with your last name ([name]Matilda[/name] [name]Collins[/name] & [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Collins[/name]). However, I absolutely adore [name]Matilda[/name] and [name]Eloise[/name] together so is that an option? [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Snow[/name] [name]Collins[/name] is just perfect, and I’d pair that with [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Collins[/name] or [name]Eloise[/name] [name]Winter[/name] [name]Collins[/name].

[name]Norah[/name] and [name]Clara[/name] are gorgeous together but you still have the [name]Clara[/name] [name]Collins[/name] issue.

[name]Matilda[/name] & [name]Annabel[/name] [name]Collins[/name]
[name]Matilda[/name] & [name]Sophie[/name] [name]Collins[/name]
[name]Matilda[/name] & [name]Waverly[/name] [name]Collins[/name]
[name]Matilda[/name] & [name]Everly[/name] [name]Collins[/name]
[name]Matilda[/name] & [name]Elspeth[/name] [name]Collins[/name]
[name]Matilda[/name] & [name]Georgia[/name] [name]Collins[/name]
[name]Matilda[/name] & [name]Harriet[/name] [name]Collins[/name]
[name]Matilda[/name] & [name]Jovie[/name] [name]Collins[/name]
[name]Matilda[/name] & [name]Imogen[/name] [name]Collins[/name]
[name]Matilda[/name] & [name]Violet[/name] [name]Collins[/name]
[name]Matilda[/name] & [name]Daphne[/name] [name]Collins[/name]

The more I think about it the more I like [name]Eva[/name] [name]Winter[/name] and [name]Noelle[/name] [name]Star[/name], [name]Eva[/name] and [name]Noelle[/name] they fit so well and have the [name]Christmas[/name] vibe without being over the top.

Honestly, I think that [name]Clara[/name] [name]Collins[/name] sounds really cute! [name]Clara[/name] and [name]Eloise[/name] is my favorite combo, but if you’re 100% against it then my next choice would be [name]Norah[/name] and [name]Eloise[/name].

[name]Norah[/name] [name]Eve[/name] [name]Collins[/name] and [name]Eloise[/name] [name]Noelle[/name] [name]Collins[/name] is perfection in my opinion! [name]Just[/name] the right amount of winter without being so obvious and over the top. And I think [name]Norah[/name] and [name]Eloise[/name] are a perfect set of twins

[name]Love[/name] [name]Clara[/name] and [name]Eloise[/name]. But agree, [name]Clara[/name] [name]Collins[/name] is a bit of a tongue twister. [name]Eloise[/name] and [name]Matilda[/name] or [name]Eloise[/name] and [name]Josephine[/name] instead? I also like [name]Joy[/name] and [name]Scarlett[/name] as mn’s for u

My suggestion is:

[name]Matilda[/name] [name]Ivy[/name] & [name]Iris[/name] [name]Miriam[/name]

[name]Norah[/name] [name]Noelle[/name] and [name]Eloise[/name] [name]Ivy[/name]
[name]Matilda[/name] [name]Noelle[/name] and [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Ivy[/name]

[name]Matilda[/name] [name]Eve[/name] & [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Winter[/name]

So cute! Good luck!

I vote [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Eve[/name] and [name]Eloise[/name] [name]Joy[/name]

[name]Matilda[/name] [name]Noelle[/name] & [name]Iris[/name] [name]Evangeline[/name] get my vote!
