I voted for [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]–on the condition that you pronounce [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] as “[name_u]Clem[/name_u]-en-tine” (last syllable sounds like time with an “n”), not “[name_m]Clay[/name_m]-mon-teen” (my sad attempt to write out the [name_m]French[/name_m] pronunciation!). If so, I think [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], while not the best possible flow, is perfectly fine, and if you intend to call her [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f], I would go ahead and make it her legal name. [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] and [name_f]Evelina[/name_f] are too matching for my tastes.
if you plan on calling her [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f] all the time, then i would use that. [name_m]How[/name_m] do you pronounce [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]? If its not with ‘teen’, then i think its fine.
Thank you all! Yes, I agree that “[name_f]Seraphina[/name_f]” and “[name_f]Evelina[/name_f]” are much too close for daily use. I was just thinking that since she will only be grouped in with her sister regularly for the first 16 or so years of her life (when she and her sister both live at home), and she’ll most likely have her first and middle names for her whole life, the flow of her individual name was more important than the perfect sibset. But, yes, there is definitely something to be said for giving her the name we actually intend to call her. Looks like most berries find the latter more important! Thank you all for your feedback! Oh, and we’d be saying it “Clem-en-tine” (almost rhymes with “time”), not “teen”.
