So I am due with babygirl in February. I posted a while back about her name coming to me in a dream. Her name in my dream was Serena Rose. I told my mom about it since she is a very spiritual person and she told me it was beautiful and I should definitely use it because it is a sign from the other side from one of my spirit guides whether it be my grandmother or someone else. So with that being said, I was pretty much set on using that name up until recently. I have fell in love with another name Vanessa and can’t get it out of my head. I told my mom I was thinking about changing her name to Vanessa Rose and she is now giving me a guilt trip about it lol 
I love my mom, but in the end it’s my child and I’ll name her whatever I want. I’m just curious on what you guys think of each name and which one you prefer and why? Thanks so much 
First of all, I think that the most important thing is that you love your daughter’s name! It’ll be what you call her for life, and that’s a big decision that shouldn’t rely on others’ judgement. I’m not here to say that there wasn’t a spiritual connection through your dream, because I can’t know that, but sometimes dreams are just dreams.
That said, I do personally prefer Serena to Vanessa, which strikes me as a bit dated to the 90s, but what matters is that you love the name, and there’s nothing wrong with either option!
Ooh! I’m going to vote for [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f], but I adore both. [name_f]My[/name_f] love for [name_f]Serena[/name_f] has slightly waned since I’ve read comments says it’s too shrill, but I never thought that when I heard it.
Both are stunning names I have considered myself! Also, I wouldn’t go looking for signs, I would just choose whichever names is your favorite 
Firstly go with the name you love the most ultimately you’ll regret not going with the name you love so make sure you follow your heart when it comes to naming your [name_u]February[/name_u] babe 
[name_f]My[/name_f] favourite from the two is [name_f]Serena[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]! [name_f]Serena[/name_f] is such a lovely unexpected choice that feels celestial and elegant. I really love this name! Whereas [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] has never been my cup of tea.
I would usually say [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f], but that’s only bc the name holds something special to me, and so does [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. But in this case, since you had a dream about having a [name_f]Serena[/name_f], I would go with [name_f]Serena[/name_f], is a very calming vibes.
[name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] and [name_f]Serena[/name_f] are both lovely and you can’t go wrong. I’d say go with whichever you love more, or just wait until you meet baby, to see if she suits one more than the other
