Serene vs. Serena

I’ve been in love with the name [name]Serena[/name] for years. Recently I saw a program on tv where a woman named [name]Serene[/name] was being interviewed. At first I thought it was a little different, but now after saying the name over & over, I like the sound of it. Which do you guys prefer?

I prefer [name]Serena[/name]. Still a lovely sound and meaning, but without the feel-good hippie vibe. At least that’s how [name]Serene[/name] comes off to me.

I’m not a particular lover of either. They’re both alright, but nothing special. [name]Serene[/name] is probably my favourite if I had to choose.

On the other I adore [name]Seren[/name] (SAIR-uhn) which is a lovely Welsh name that has been a favourite of mine for years.

[name]Serena[/name] feels really dated to me, and [name]Serene[/name] doesn’t stike me as a name. What about [name]Serenity[/name] (a little hippitydippity though?) or like pp mentioned, [name]Seren[/name] is a great option too!!!

[name]Serena[/name] by far!

[name]Serene[/name] sounds like a state of being, so I prefer [name]Serena[/name]

I definitely prefer [name]Serena[/name], which feels so much more namey and soft to me.

I like [name]Serene[/name] better than [name]Serena[/name].
Better yet, I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Selene[/name].

[name]Serena[/name] would be my pick. Sounds like you’ve always loved it too. Go with your first choice.

I would go with [name]Serena[/name]. What if you have your little baby [name]Serene[/name] and she ends up having ADHD or is a little wild woman running around like? That would seem so funny to everyone! Or what if she is a worry wart as an adult? Her name might be kind of haunting if she can’t live up to what would appear to by your expectations.
