Seymour, for a girl?

Hello berries!

When I was 10 my mom was having another child, about 11 years ago, I saw [name_m]Seymour[/name_m] listed as a potential name for crossover, I was immediately smitten, and have thought about it ever sense. This name is not at all popular for boys, and has the same feel as [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u]. Am I crazy? Am I the only one that sees the appeal?

In one of [name_f]Pam[/name_f] and [name_f]Linda[/name_f]'s books [name_m]Seymour[/name_m] was one of the “old man” names they claimed would be “fresh” on a girl. It’s not my style at all though.

It doesn’t really do it for me. To be fair, I dislike it for a boy, too.

[name_m]Seymour[/name_m] is a pretty cool name for a boy but I just can’t see it on a girl. It doesn’t sound pretty at all, [name_f]IMO[/name_f].

I can’t see it at all. Seems out there for even for nameberry, so I’m surprised it was in one of their books.

I just can’t take [name_m]Seymour[/name_m] seriously & think it would be an awful name to have. Blame it on The Simpsons because I just think of jokes like ‘see more [insert body part]’. If you must use it, put it in the middle

I like [name_m]Seymour[/name_m] for a boy due to the [name_m]Seymour[/name_m] Glass reference; however, I wouldn’t recommend using it for a girl.

It’s not really a name I’d ever consider for a child of either sex, having been raised by The Simpsons, but here is the angle at which I can see the appeal: it’s kind of a hero name for [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_m]Seymour[/name_m], onetime [name_m]Bond[/name_m] girl and Dr. [name_u]Quinn[/name_u], Medicine Woman actress.
