Shane?

So my last name rhymes with [name_u]Shane[/name_u] but I adore this name! I know I can use it anyway but should I… Can we suggest a double name to break it up… Like how people have [name_m]John[/name_m]-[name_m]Luke[/name_m] or [name_m]John[/name_m]-[name_m]Paul[/name_m]…
[name_u]Shane[/name_u]-?

[name_u]Shane[/name_u]-[name_u]Ryan[/name_u]?
[name_u]Shane[/name_u]-[name_u]Kyle[/name_u]?
[name_u]Shane[/name_u]-[name_m]Issac[/name_m]?
[name_u]Shane[/name_u]-?

[name_f]My[/name_f] husbands name is [name_u]Shane[/name_u] just do it

I was thinking of [name_u]Shane[/name_u] a few weeks ago. I think it is lovely but [name_u]Shane[/name_u]-something doesn’t sound right to me, sorry. Maybe you can use it as a nickname for something, for example, [name_u]Shannon[/name_u] or [name_m]Seamus[/name_m]?

I have a cousin named [name_u]Shane[/name_u] [name_m]Austin[/name_m]. I’ve always liked that combination… [name_m]Sean[/name_m] or [name_u]Shawn[/name_u] might be a nice alternative to [name_u]Shane[/name_u] if the rhyming first and last name feels too matchy-matchy. If you’re specifically looking for a one syllable S name, [name_u]Seth[/name_u] and [name_u]Sam[/name_u] are also cute. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.

Is [name_u]Shane[/name_u] [name_u]Lane[/name_u] is pushing it though? That’s why I thought I needed a middle like [name_u]Shane[/name_u] [name_m]Anthony[/name_m] [name_u]Lane[/name_u]

Mine too! I like [name_u]Shane[/name_u] [name_m]Isaac[/name_m].

I love the name [name_u]Shane[/name_u] however I think [name_u]Shane[/name_u] [name_u]Lane[/name_u] is too matchy. I would suggest maybe [name_m]Seamus[/name_m], [name_u]Shay[/name_u], [name_m]Sean[/name_m] or [name_u]Shannon[/name_u]. I think
[name_u]Shane[/name_u]-Another Name doesn’t work well. I believe [name_u]Shane[/name_u] is the Irish form of [name_m]John[/name_m] so maybe something like [name_m]John[/name_m]-[name_m]Henry[/name_m] or [name_m]John[/name_m]-[name_m]Isaac[/name_m] would be better suited for you?

I agree that [name_u]Shane[/name_u] [name_u]Lane[/name_u] is too matchy.

It’s generally classic names that are used in double barrels, and it’s hard to find anything that sounds smooth with [name_u]Shane[/name_u]-XX [name_u]Lane[/name_u].

Would you really want to say [name_u]Shane[/name_u]-[name_u]Ryan[/name_u] every day all the time?

What about [name_u]Shane[/name_u] as a middle? I think as a middle name rhyming with the surname is sorta fun and unique without being a daily annoyance.

[name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_u]Lane[/name_u] daily with [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_u]Shane[/name_u] [name_u]Lane[/name_u] as a full name.

I think double barrel is cool for [name_u]Shane[/name_u], my Husband is [name_u]Shane[/name_u] [name_m]Kenneth[/name_m].

[name_u]Shane[/name_u]-[name_m]Anthony[/name_m] [name_u]Lane[/name_u] sounds fine. She could just call him [name_u]Shane[/name_u] even if he had a double barrel name. I went to school with a [name_f]Faith[/name_f]-[name_f]Maree[/name_f] [name_m]Smith[/name_m] and she never once used her middle. [name_m]Just[/name_m] if you really love the name find a way to use it, that’s my suggestion. happy blogging
