Sherwood and Sherlock

Hello berries,
I have been loving [name_m]Sherwood[/name_m] and [name_m]Sherlock[/name_m] recently. They are both so cozy, stylish and comfy. [name_m]Sherwood[/name_m] is full of trees and bows, a wood where [name_u]Robin[/name_u] Hood was hiding, and [name_m]Sherlock[/name_m] is my childhood crush and favorite detective of all time. I have been thinking of:
[name_m]Ignatius[/name_m] [name_m]Sherwood[/name_m]
[name_m]Caspian[/name_m] [name_m]Sherwood[/name_m]
[name_m]Algernon[/name_m] [name_m]Sherwood[/name_m]

[name_m]Sherlock[/name_m] [name_m]Grover[/name_m]
[name_m]Sherlock[/name_m] [name_f]Snow[/name_f]
[name_m]Sherlock[/name_m] [name_m]Orlando[/name_m]
[name_m]Perseus[/name_m] [name_m]Sherlock[/name_m]

What do you think? I would be grateful if you posted some other combos with these two names. Any thoughts and comments appreciated. Thank you!

I like [name_m]Ignatius[/name_m] [name_m]Sherwood[/name_m]
[name_m]Ignatius[/name_m] [name_f]Snow[/name_f]
[name_m]Caspian[/name_m] [name_f]Snow[/name_f]
I’m not a fan of [name_m]Sherlock[/name_m], maybe for a middle name.

[name_m]Sherwood[/name_m] is my favorite. I could only use it as a middle name. He would fit right in with my top boys’ names. Nice to see another [name_u]Robin[/name_u] Hood fan. [name_f]My[/name_f] son must have read it at least a dozen times and we have read it out-loud as a family several times. [name_m]Ignatius[/name_m] keeps with that feeling (although hopefully [name_m]Sherwood[/name_m] does not catch on fire ;)). [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] takes me out of the woods and to the sea. Not to fond of [name_m]Algernon[/name_m].

[name_m]Sherlock[/name_m] is very cool, mysteries. I could only use [name_m]Sherlock[/name_m] as a middle name also.

I love [name_m]Sherlock[/name_m], it’s nice to see I’m not alone! [name_f]My[/name_f] favourite boys name is [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] [name_m]Sherlock[/name_m] ([name_m]Edmund[/name_m])! I think [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] [name_m]Sherwood[/name_m] works as well. [name_m]Perseus[/name_m] [name_m]Sherlock[/name_m] is nice, but (male) [name_f]Snow[/name_f] just reminds me of the not-very-nice character from The Hunger Games Trilogy. [name_m]Sherlock[/name_m] [name_m]Orlando[/name_m], is probably my favourite middle with [name_m]Sherlock[/name_m], from your list, but I prefer more vintage/antique names than with [name_m]Orlando[/name_m], which feels more modern.
[name_m]Sherlock[/name_m] [name_u]Dorian[/name_u] (or [name_u]Dorian[/name_u] [name_m]Sherlock[/name_m])
[name_m]Sherlock[/name_m] [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] (of course)
[name_m]Sherlock[/name_m] [name_m]Horatio[/name_m] (or [name_m]Horatio[/name_m] [name_m]Sherlock[/name_m])
[name_m]Sherlock[/name_m] [name_m]Amadeus[/name_m]
[name_m]Sherlock[/name_m] [name_m]Ernest[/name_m]
[name_m]Sherlock[/name_m] [name_m]Edwin[/name_m]
[name_m]Sherwood[/name_m]'s more difficult for me, I can’t help but imagine it as a surname. I like [name_m]Algernon[/name_m] [name_m]Sherwood[/name_m]; [name_m]Algernon[/name_m], sounds like a fantasy world (not a bad thing), but [name_m]Ignatius[/name_m] [name_m]Sherwood[/name_m] sounds a bit like a type of wood. Maybe [name_m]Ignacio[/name_m] [name_m]Sherwood[/name_m] would be better, although I prefer [name_m]Ignacio[/name_m] to [name_m]Ignatius[/name_m] in general.

[name_m]Caspian[/name_m] [name_m]Sherwood[/name_m] sounded really nice to me when I read it on your list. [name_m]Sherwood[/name_m] sounds much more usable in general than [name_m]Sherlock[/name_m].

[name_m]Caspian[/name_m] [name_m]Sherwood[/name_m] is so handsome. I grew up in a little town called [name_m]Sherwood[/name_m] and I loved it there. I never thought of using it as a name.

All your [name_m]Sherwood[/name_m] combos are handsome, earthy, and dignified all at once. [name_f]My[/name_f] favourite is [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] [name_m]Sherwood[/name_m], like a PP said it makes me think of seas and forests- a rugged explorer type riding a gorgeous athletic horse. I imagine someone going on a long quest in a fantasy world- picture the Chronicles of [name_f]Narnia[/name_f]. [name_m]Algernon[/name_m] [name_m]Sherwood[/name_m] feels more like a small-town farm boy, kind and generous but not all that exciting- more [name_m]Little[/name_m] House on the [name_u]Prairie[/name_u]. (I suppose I’m influenced by the characters [name_m]Prince[/name_m] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] and Almanzo [name_m]Wilder[/name_m]; [name_m]Algernon[/name_m] and Almanzo feel so similar to me.)

I prefer [name_m]Sherlock[/name_m] as a middle, so my favourite of your combos is [name_m]Perseus[/name_m] [name_m]Sherlock[/name_m]. I would like [name_m]Orlando[/name_m] [name_m]Sherlock[/name_m] too. [name_m]Both[/name_m] feel like adventurers too, clever and crafty, constantly getting himself out of tight spots. The [name_m]Sherlock[/name_m] [name_m]Holmes[/name_m] reference is pretty much inescapable though.

Thank you all! I am glad you like [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] [name_m]Sherwood[/name_m].

[name_m]How[/name_m] did I miss @myosotis’s suggestions! [name_u]Dorian[/name_u] [name_m]Sherlock[/name_m], [name_m]Sherlock[/name_m] [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] and [name_m]Sherlock[/name_m] [name_m]Horatio[/name_m] are divine.
