She's a Girl! And we think her name is Arwen!

[name]Arwen[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] & [name]Arwen[/name] Lousia are really pretty! I was actually going to suggest [name]Louisa[/name] but then I saw your post haha. Another combo that came to mind was [name]Arwen[/name] Avonlea, not sure if you like alliterations though.

The LOTR connection doesn’t bother me at all, blade. I have a deep love for LOTR, The Hobbit, The Silmarillion, and pretty much all things Tolkein. I’ve read the LOTR trilogy 3 times, the first time being when I was 12. I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I’ve read The Hobbit. When I was a teen (I was a name nerd then too) I would create names in the elven language. lol I don’t care if people think I named her [name]Arwen[/name] only after I saw the movie. Anyone who knows me, knows I’m a Tolkein geek and knows that I hated the movies when they first came out because so much was left out and changed. I’ve since come to love the artistry that went into the movies. My husband bought me the extended edition trilogy box set on blue ray for my birthday last year and it’s the best thing he’s ever got me in the nearly 5 years that we’ve been together. lol We’ve watched them probably 4 or 5 times already!
Thanks for the new suggestion, dayken95! [name]Arwen[/name] Avonlea is pretty, but [name]Arwen[/name] has a first cousin named [name]Ava[/name] [name]Alexandra[/name] and I’d rather avoid any similarities there.
I talked to my DH about it a little while ago and he’s fallen in love with [name]Arwen[/name] [name]Louisa[/name]! We both have! We feel that [name]Benton[/name] and [name]Arwen[/name] match in style as do [name]Grover[/name] and [name]Louisa[/name] in vintage quirkiness. I think one of the reasons I was struggling with [name]Arwen[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] was because I have so many family pet names based on [name]Elizabeth[/name] (Caty [name]Beth[/name] being just one) and I want [name]Arwen[/name] to have the same opportunity, but with a different name. The more I think about it the more I can see calling her [name]Ari[/name] [name]Lou[/name], [name]Lilou[/name], and [name]Little[/name] [name]Lou[/name] [name]Lou[/name].

[name]Ari[/name] [name]Lou[/name] is the cutest thing I have ever heard!!! Haha, sorry just had to come back and see all the suggestions. I love it so much. =]

I’m NOT a LOTRs fan but I do love the name [name]Arwen[/name]. [name]Arwen[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] is beautiful. Good choice!

I am 29 and my name is [name_f]Arwen[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]! I have always loved my name. [name_f]My[/name_f] initials are “AES,” like [name_f]Arwen[/name_f] Evenstar. [name_f]My[/name_f] parents loved the LOTR of course and they chose “[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]” because they wanted me to be able to choose a different nickname ([name_f]Liz[/name_f], [name_f]Beth[/name_f], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], etc) if I disliked my first name. It was really interesting to read about your decision process. Many happy wishes to your [name_f]Arwen[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] from an [name_f]Arwen[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]!

[name_u]Ari[/name_u] would be a potential nickname, or [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] but I don’t think you should worry about that. I don’t think you should worry about that with [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] either really, most people won’t shorten it I think…other than your father. Unlike [name_f]Pam[/name_f] for [name_f]Pamela[/name_f] there isn’t really a common short name for it, and it’s not common enough people would think of one immediately anyway. For both names, if they got a nickname it would mean someone was trying for one. Which means they’re probably getting a nickname whatever someone thinks some people seem to feel they need to name someone themselves, whatever their wishes and no name will stop them. Not sure what your dad’s issue is, does he not like unusual names and therefore must make it something more common? Have you asked him not to do it? Anyway, [name_f]Arwen[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is a beautiful name and if that’s the right one I say go for it!
