4th baby due this [name_f]September[/name_f], and the gender is a surprise. If baby is a girl she will be named [name_f]Romy[/name_f]. Boys names we were stumped until I stumbled upon the name [name_f]Shiloh[/name_f] and now I can’t picture any other name than that! Hubby needs a bit of convincing.
[name_f][/name_f]
I love gender neutral names, we are in Australia and i only know of one girl [name_f]Shiloh[/name_f]. Is the name ok for a boy? Does it strike you as masc or fem?
[name_f][/name_f]
Siblings are [name_f]Indiana[/name_f] (f), [name_m]Tully[/name_m] (m), [name_m]Finn[/name_m] (m).
[name_f][/name_f]
Is it too out there/random? Does it suit the others? [name_f][/name_f] I find boy names exceptionally hard and nothing has felt right until this came on my radar. Help!
[name_f]Shiloh[/name_f] is gorgeous! I love it for a boy [name_f][/name_f] [name_m]Charming[/name_m] but sweet, with a handsome and gentle feel. It reminds me of [name_f]Sasha[/name_f], [name_m]Milo[/name_m], [name_f]Shay[/name_f], [name_m]Sonny[/name_m], or [name_m]Rocco[/name_m].
[name_f][/name_f]
It strikes me as neutral, so it works to me [name_f][/name_f] I think it works with your set too [name_f][/name_f]- especially since [name_m]Tully[/name_m] and [name_f]Indiana[/name_f] have that neutral feel too (imo at least)
I actually prefer [name_f]Shiloh[/name_f] for a boy. It’s so dignified and spunky to me. And in the context of your other names & O names being so prevalent for boys [name_f][/name_f]- [name_m]Leo[/name_m], [name_m]Arlo[/name_m], [name_m]Milo[/name_m], [name_m]Otto[/name_m], [name_m]Theo[/name_m] etc.- I think it’ll fit right in.
It’s split on gender in the US but not too popular (I’ve never met one). It totally works with your other kids names and [name_m]Shi[/name_m] is a cool nickname.
I love softer names for boys, and I would love to meet a little boy named [name_f]Shiloh[/name_f]! And I would definitely consider it a unisex name, and matches great with your other kids!
I think [name_f]Shiloh[/name_f] fits perfectly with the siblings! I love it. I’ve never met any girl Shiloh’s where I live. So I would view it as a more masculine name. I think it works really well though
I know of a few female Shilohs so I do think of it as more feminine, but I wouldn’t bat an eye at a boy named [name_f]Shiloh[/name_f]! The sound seems unisex and in terms of popularity, it’s not being used for girls that much more than it is for boys.
[name_f]Shiloh[/name_f] feels very unisex to me and I personally prefer it on a boy. I don’t think it’s out there at all, and I think it goes well with your others! It reminds me of [name_f]Shea[/name_f], so I’ll suggest that as well. [name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_f]Romy[/name_f] btw
I love [name_f]Shiloh[/name_f] for a boy! [name_f][/name_f] Tbh I still can’t get used to it on a girl… it doesn’t strike me as feminine at all? [name_f][/name_f] But that is probably because I was first introduced to [name_f]Shiloh[/name_f] from a war-hardened army nurse from the 1800s in a series of novels I read when I was in high school. [name_f][/name_f] [name_f]Shiloh[/name_f] is such a cool boys’ name imo and I would love to meet a little boy with this name! [name_f][/name_f] It feels gentle but strong. [name_f][/name_f] Plus it rhymes with [name_m]Milo[/name_m] and has that O ending that’s so popular for boys these days (Leo, [name_m]Theo[/name_m], [name_m]Otto[/name_m], [name_m]Beau[/name_m], [name_m]Matteo[/name_m], [name_m]Milo[/name_m], [name_m]Lorenzo[/name_m], etc.!). [name_f][/name_f] I know there are many others who are very fond of [name_f]Shiloh[/name_f] for a girl though so I’d be curious to see what the general consensus is. [name_f][/name_f] I think [name_f]Shiloh[/name_f] is a great fit though and a natural little brother to [name_f]Indiana[/name_f], [name_m]Tully[/name_m], and [name_m]Finn[/name_m]! [name_f][/name_f] (And even Romy!)
Congratulations on number four [name_f][/name_f]! I cannot tell you how obsessed I am with [name_f]Indiana[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f], [name_m]Tully[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f], & [name_m]Finn[/name_m]. Such an amazing set [name_f][/name_f]!
[name_f][/name_f]
I think that both [name_f]Romy[/name_f] and [name_f]Shiloh[/name_f] work and I truly see them as gender neutral [name_f][/name_f].
[name_m]Remy[/name_m] was our choice for our third originally but a close friend chose that name a few weeks before our guy was born. I adore [name_m]Remy[/name_m]!
[name_f]Shiloh[/name_f] has always leaned more boy for me tbh. [name_f]Angelina[/name_f] Jolie’s daughter is the only female [name_f]Shiloh[/name_f] I know! I especially love the sound of [name_f]Shiloh[/name_f] with siblings [name_f]Indiana[/name_f], [name_m]Tully[/name_m] and [name_m]Finn[/name_m]! I think it’s perfect for you!!!
